"More jobs and a stronger economy, fewer 900-page dissertations on how brilliant we are.”

To be fair Mr Wilson, this past election showed that is is corporate media that demands the 900 page dissertations from Democrats and, "I will bring down prices on day one," with "concepts of a plan" for Republicans. They hounded Kamala for weeks that she had "no plan" on any topic, when if you went to her website she had all her plans and she talked about her plans.. But Cheeto Benito never had to explain his tariff plan or his "end the war in Ukraine" plan or any plan. So you can see how Democrats get caught up in the 900 pages because Corporate Media crucifies us if we don't.

Though I do agree with your sentiment I just feel Corporate Media needs to get their fair share of the blame.

"Imagine an election where the anti-Trump forces beat the MAGA crew at their own attention-economy game—outmaneuvering Fox News, Elon’s troll-laden social media platform, and every right-wing echo chamber. It’s not easy, but the pieces are sliding into place."

This would be great. And you are great. I have so much respect for everything you are doing to try to save democracy.

No one ever asks Trump, "Who is saying that?" or challenging him to elaborate on any of the bullshit he constantly spews. They should ask him why we don't have peace in Ukraine or lower prices as he promised.

Again loving your energizing combo of news you can use, LMAO moments, scatological barbs and snark+passionate patriotism. Never thought I'd be writing this to an R-brand, and I bet you never expected so much appreciation from us D-branders, but IMHO within the current "vibe" we're all going to be doing a lot of productive rebranding as our values get clarified. Thumbs up.

Great post Rick. For the first time, in a long time, you’ve given me some hope. Love that the Prime Minister of Canada and Premier of Greenland basically told tRUMP to fuck off.

I just realized if he bothers with those weather maps again, he's going to sharpie "Gulf of America" on there. Or possibly "Golf of America".

Yes, William Safire! Breathe deep. Exhale slowly....

Here's to thunder and lightning. The next major hurricane will blow MAGA into the center of the Gulf of Amerika! Millions of angry people might just be relesed from the cult.

For everybody on this thread who has been grousing about Democratic leadership especially in the Senate (myself included), here's Cory Booker at the very moment ripping an old-fashioned talking filibuster (no idea how long it will go) to block the new Trump tax cuts.

I’m not as optimistic as you might be, I’ve seen our Democratic Party screw up a free lunch and go hungry. When you see Bernie Sanders last hurrah leading the charge with only a few other Democrats it doesn’t look as promising.

To be successful we also need leadership and having a few is good for now. Ossoff is getting some looks. From Georgia, with good looks and a radio voice. Fresh and young. A tangible alternative now that the "legacy" democrats have all been badly tarnished. Unfortunate but I don't "see" a Kamala revival.

Watch for the — and the ghost of William Safire will strike me down for saying this — vibe shift. Pay attention to those town halls, and watch Democrats—who, for once in the last few years, seem to sense a real opening— and are moving with speed and purpose.

From your lips to Goddess's ear, Mr. Wilson.
