I voted for Angie. Her accomplishments and public service record are highly commendable. Vindman has lots of cash, especially from aipac. Money should not be the deciding factor in elections.
It's sad but also satisfying that a man like Mike Lindell who legit overcame addiction to create a company that was worth millions. Then pissed it all away chasing another addiction - Trump's phony claims of a stolen election. And now it's cost him everything - from his company to any shred of credibility or decency he once may have had.
Agreed about Lindell, but his continued whining about election fraud was all he had left. He got schooled by a 14 year-old at the '24 Dem convention. Any sane individual would've realized at that point they were in way over their head and needed to run..not walk away. Well said, Todd. Any sane individual would have wised up long ago, that's why it seems to me that election denialism is his new addiction. The MAGAs have become the party of sore losers, and people like Lindell and Lake make that case for the whole world to see.
Thanks for your comments, Rick. Some of the pundit negative reactions to DSA candidates seem just knee-jerk commentary. Yes, candidate quality and fit to the electorate matters most. And candidates like Mandami and El-Sayed don't seem to be advocating any policies that are out of step with what their voters favor. As far as some DSA takeover goes, in deep blue California, my home state, there is not one DSA member running for statewide or federal office this November. Only one House candidate has even been endorsed by the DSA, and she is a younger Democrat who edged out the 81 year old Democratic incumbent.

And boy, I would love to see some Congressional and legislative districts change hands. Nearly 30 years of Republican “leadership” is killing this state.
I don't know about that admonition not to run a DSA candidate in a red state. I would sorta like to see whether or not a solid, and competent economic progressive can do well in a senate race with lower-middle class, blue collar voters in, say, Indiana. It's a safe place to test since Dems will never win the state anyway. But that will let us look at the crosstabs to see how well an economic populist/progressive message can work on parts of the old democratic base that have gone Trumpey.
It's a major question that ought to be answered in our current era of political instability. Can a Bernie-type pull in voters that are otherwise lost to moderate dems? If they can't then we have a clearer case to make for being more moderate on policies in general elections in other places. If they do show surprising strength, than maybe the right play is to run on a more socialist economic platform.
I'd rather we had run that experiment before gambling in places like Michigan (or almost - Maine).
