Even though I'm an attorney for the gub'mint (27 years as a criminal prosecutor, 2+ years as a civil prosecutor), I have sat on 2 juries and acted as foreperson both times. Everyone who is qualified to do so should participate in jury service - it's the least we can do to ensure that our constitutional rights continue to matter.

Jury Duty is awesome. I never thought I'd like it but it felt like one of the most patriotic acts I've ever committed.
