Dear Senator Fetterman,
I was a huge supporter of you in both the primary and the general. There's a lot I like about your general orientation, including trying to put the brakes on some of the crazier factions in our party while remaining a staunch economic populist. But bro, you've been guzzlin' the Kool Aid lately. News Flash: You can't compromise with Trump. Traveling down to Mango Lardo will get you as much as Trump got from Vladimir Putin — exactly jack squat. And you've got to stop mollycoddling your Trumpy constituents. They got sold a bill of goods. Inflation's not coming down. Mass deportation isn't going to happen. Kaptain Ketamine and his merry band of incels tearing through the government with proverbial chainsaws is going to put the hurt on each and every one of your constituents you tried so hard to get us to "understand" before the election.
Y'all got sold out. Man up and move on. Your job is to educate your constituents, not wet nurse them.
Oppose this soft coup with every fiber in your being. And if you vote for a budget, expect me to disown you and work hard for your next primary opponent. I know your big donors want the tax cuts. Some things are more important. You also know that Donald Trump threw you under the bus because Melania thought Dr. Mehmet Oz was charming on television. And then Oz was beaten by a guy who just had a stroke. (You can't make this up.) Trump doesn't care about your interests.
Stand up for yourself, Senator. You have the funds to afford a security detail for yourself and your family. It's time to step forward and do the right thing for the country and the constitution you took an oath to defend.

Dear Representative Boyle,
I am writing to implore you to not give your vote to Mike Johnson in the upcoming CR negotiation. The Republicans cannot pass a budget without Democratic help and they deserve none. Even a clean CR will be abominated in conference and codify Elon Musk's egregious disemboweling of the federal government.
Take a page from the Tea Party, Rep Boyle. Stand strong with your constituents. If there has to be a government shutdown, so be it. Trump and the Republicans will own it. Do not enable these sworn enemies of our form of representative government. Do the right and only thing. The time for choosing is now.
Trump is definitely not covered in steel, as Claudia Sheinbaum and Justin Trudeau have shown. Foreign leaders have figured out he's a paper tiger. His knee bending to Putin is dangerous, but it also broadcasts his weakness. The EU, UK, Australia and other countries aren't afraid of Trump.
The only people who haven't figured out how weak and stupid Trump is are the elected republicans. And they're the ones who've covered him in their cowardice; that's what propping him up. But there are stirrings even in elected R ranks, glimmers of hope this week with some republican senators, including shockingly Thom Tillis from here NC, blistering Putin and defending Ukraine. They haven't yet said Trump's name aloud, but it's coming. The 'fork in the road' is going to be when elected Rs have to choose between getting reelected by their constituents who are mad as hell or pleasing the Toddler King. My money's on Rs going with political survival.
