This was a fun one! Love the ad narration. Now do Carousel. (“It lets us travel the way a child travels.” 🎠) DARK POLING sounds like the name of a strip club. (I’ve never been inside a strip club.)

T.a.c.o. ,t.a.c.o. man, I want to be a t.a.c.o. man. I think it has a good ring to it. Thanks Rick. I was driving back to cocoa beach from Cleveland clinic in south Florida today listening to you and enlightening my passengers. I had a captive audience. who is going to jump out of a car doing 75 on the saw grass? Anywho, they like what you had to say on the enemies list. All dems except me. npa. Great stuff.

Some here think this is all kayfabe. I don't. I'm with Rick and The Bulwark; I think it's become a genuine blood feud at this point. Breitbart might have a point that what's primarily motivating this for Elmo is the loss of EV tax credits. If that goes through, it's going to put a major hit on Tesla's stock price and Tesla's stock price is existential considering how leveraged Elmo's shares are.

This next is my speculation so take it FWIW. I think Elmo spent some quality time recently with Tesla's board and he's beginning to confront the massive brand damage caused by his chainsaw. Tesla is Elon's most important brand. It's his cash cow. I think it sunk into the drug cesspool that is his brain that Republicans are ideologically opposed to tax credits for EVs cuz drill baby drill. There's only one way back from this brink and it sure ain't the CyberTruck, which is a failure on all levels, the "appreciating asset" that loses owners $35k every 6k miles. The only hope if Tesla is to have a future (the AZ robotaxis will fail this month) is for Elmo to ingratiate himself with Democrats.

Now this is a thin reed, indeed. Elmo's curtain has been pulled back, revealing that he's a white supremacist and an apocalypse fetishist who wishes death on the vast amount of humanity. But the only chance he and Tesla have is to get back those tax credits. So maybe Elon thinks if he does the Democratic Party a solid by scourging Trump's bill and maybe even contributing to Democrats in the midterms, we'll be beholden to him in a more sustainable way than Trump and MAGA.

Again, this is only a speculation. He may just bitch on X, take his marbles and go home.

Let's think about how much $400 B can buy in the way of lawyers to fight against the silly MAGA dollars Trump will try to collect in order to fight Elon violating some NDA. Of course, you have to figure that Elon got Trump to sign one, too, as much as it might have grieved Trump. "You want some big dollars, Donny? Sign on the dotted line like a good pauper."

Trump is already committed to the use of Elon assets without backup (SpaceX, Starlink) Elon, on the other hand, has probably figured out ways of moving on and trashing those assets all the while not losing ALL his money. He might only be as rich as Bill Gates, again.

Then there is the donations to Donald. According to the Financial Times, Musk still "owes" the Trump campaign a $100 M that was promised. Who's the rube now, Donny? Don't wait for the check that's 'in the mail'.

Now, sporting fans! The fight of the day is Donny Caligula v Super Elon Nero. Can't wait for the betting lines.

The rural hospital closures don't just eliminate essential health care services... those hospitals in small rural communities are often the primary employer in that area. Some rural cities will actually have their sustainability as a city threatened if their hospital closes.

Elon Musk, the GOP, Supreme court, and the White House are just some of the many props Trump use to enrich himself...

Elon Musk was a big contributor to Trumps agenda, and the perfect fall guy to be blamed later on when things fall apart... while Trump runs off with the goods... Karma Rules

There are myriad ways these two can hurt each other. It is delicious:

For Elon:

1. No pardons for Elon, DOGE.

2. ICE (Elon was here illegally).

3. SpaceX contracts.

4. Whatever government regulatory enforcement Trump wants to use against Elon's companies.

5. The SEC.

For Trump/GOP:

1. Campaign cash.

2. Whatever data, inside info Elon possesses.

3. Any criminal activity Elon carried out was enabled by Trump.

And Elon may poll terrible, but I think there is still a possibly small subset of young men especially who look up to him. He might've brought some of those people along to support Trump at the end of the campaign. A Trump/Elon war and those people might be gone from Trump's camp.

This is rich! Musk probably will not get Tesla back where it was because people here and all over the world despise him. He needs to move back to South Africa.

I am grabbing popcorn to enjoy the ensuing chaos, don't get me wrong, but one person having this much political power because they have money makes me want to make sure John Roberts knows he did this when Elon (or even worst Theil) controls us all. Citizens United was the end of us.

I hope Musk goes full-on and destroys them all, Pete Kegstand and Trump included. We’ll deal with what comes next when it comes. Spill ALL the tea, Elon! Spill. It.

And Musk may have been the fall guy for the destruction Russell Vought wanted. See Timothy Noah's article at The New Republic. Vought, plus the Musk tech boys, is still there.
