100% agreement. If I had been more specific, I would have listed Russia (as you point out), Israel, Saudi Arabia and the U.K. ( And possibly the United Arab Emirates). All the above had reported dealings and or connections with Jeffrey Epstein. I also failed to mention the ubiquitous ‘organized crime’ element. Sigh.

…for anyone who missed my phat finger error, I meant to type ‘deus ex machina’ —-once a theatre major… My central point being, only we can save ourselves. Their is no external force that will come and save us.

True that. I have asked family members who skipped voting in elections why they don’t vote. Their response, is that it ‘doesn’t seem to make a difference.’ I think Democrats should focus their message largely on deliverables. For many people, if not most, when they do not see a noticeable, positive, material change in their lives they are discouraged from voting.

Thank you for the conversation, Molly and Rick seems like it’s going down to a pro democracy movement, like many people of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and New York. These protests are nonviolent and nonstop. I voted for Clinton. I wonder why all these meetings, perhaps to get a pay check for the Clinton foundation. Please subscribe to Rick Wilson’s Against All Enemies.

Most likely Clinton was a sexual predator, not just there to raise money. He had to have at least known what Epstein was up to with underage girls. Highly unlikely he was in Trump or Epstein’s league ( I feel confident he is not that sick and depraved), but Clinton was lying about his sexual misadventures from the beginning and Hillary has been covering up for him.

Rick PLEASE read today’s post by This Will Hold on Substack! Really important

Thanks Rick; Great recaps. I was wondering , was there something in the Epstein Files that mentioned a young victim was murdered and buried somewhere.?? Just asking. I was thinking about Trumps first wife. Trump buried his ex-wife on a golf course. Not out of grief but for a tax avoidance manoeuvre. In 2022 Ivana Trump was laid to rest near Hole No.1 at Trump’s Bedminster golf course. In New Jersey, one grave can legally turn land into a cemetery. No property tax, no sales tax, no income tax. Trump registered the land as a nonprofit cemetery making the entire course tax-exempt. So he can cheat on his wife again and again, as well as cheating at golf! Are they still golfing on this nonprofit cemetery??

Great discussion. You are so right, Rick. Effing QAnon was right (although many of their details were wrong, such as it being a kabal of only one political party). And, yes, let’s do pause for an effing minute or two or three or four, to unswervingly consider that the U.S. government, at the highest levels, was and is (allegedly) populated by pedophiles who, also, engaged in human trafficking on an international scale—-for decades—-and the real kicker, from my perspective, is that they were aided and abetted—-and protected, by U.S. officials throughout numerous U.S. federal agencies…Let’s just sit with that for a moment. Who the hell is running our country?! It sure is not us. We don’t have a country if we cannot act to protect our most vulnerable (read children) members of our society from the most powerful members of our society (who, themselves, may be politically influenced or controlled by entities from outside the U.S.) The longer I pause and reflect on this incomprehensible situation we find ourselves in, the more I am convinced we have to take away power from our leaders. Slowing down our economy, I believe—-as do many other Americans, is the only way to halt our careening government, and keep it from going off the Democratic cliff and crashing, forever, our beloved, inimitable American experiment. Sorry this post is so long.

Good comment except you left out Russia. Russia, Putin, and his proxies are all over these files. It’s not that other countries “may have been involved,” they were.

Not to be "that guy", because I normally agree with about 99.5% of what you write.

But I'm not so sure this will kill him. The elected GOP simply doesn't care, the voters don't care and the zillionaires LOVE it. He's surrounded himself with a Stalin era cast of apparatchiks and stooges who'll NEVER confront him, and voters watch Fox News all day where none of this is covered.

This is a party fueled by cruelty and hate, and where else are they gonna get that? Look at social media: They see ppl being murdered in MN and want more. Today I saw a soy bean farmer who's on the way to losing everything say "I don't know how this happened".

How many high level defections have there been? Zero, by my count, even as the EpFiles get worse every day. One apparently says he blew a young kid. Lovely. I bet he sucked at that too.

Crickets.

They will lie, deflect, blame Biden and Hillary and carry on as if nothing happened. And it'll get worse. Can't wait to see what Blanche and Gabbard do with those Georgia ballots

Considering Dems haven’t been great at actually voting …

Can the blue and purple states send all their National Guard troops at one time to DC to arrest them all? Have a huge trial, hang them high and I can knit next to the gallows?

We don’t have an honest or legitimate DOJ or FBI. Compromised all the way. He may have done it to the DOJ in his first term.

If we ever return to sane patriotic governance, Elon the Nazi has to go. No contracts, no rocket launches, no internet contracts. Europe and other democracies would be wise to do the same. Elon can play with his friend Putin.

I think Trump has killed girls or had them killed. They should get body sniffing dogs to check all the Epstein addresses AND all the Trump properties, including Sebring Florida. The New Mexico ranch and every other place could contain remains and or other evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

Valarie Henry's avatar

Probably won’t happen, but I agree with you.

This is not a political issue.

It is a moral issue.

Everyone must follow Rick’s lead:

Country over party

Right over wrong

Good over evil

defend democracy and our constitution and our humanity.

Unrelated (slightly:

From the Book of "Yeah, They Really Are That Stupid"

A clip I just saw: Georgia soy bean farmer and Trump supporter, whining because he can't sell his soy beans.

"Mah fahm is dying, y'all. I just don't know how this happened. (sniffle sniffle). Someone in Washington really screwed up"

My God ...

The more Trump tries to distance himself from Epstein the closer they get.

Did no one in the Trump world realize that hiring a close friend of Epstein (see Rick's 'The Epstein Iceberg') to be the director of the Melania fantasy movie was not a smart move. How much did Melania know and when did she know it? Nominating a man to be head of the fed who was a good buddy of Epstein? No problemos with Trumpy, as long as he drops interest rates (and capsizes the economy). Epstein's deep relationship with Putin? You have to wonder how much of the leash Putin holds around Trump's neck was woven from Epstein information.

The real sad thing is, as much as Jeffrey Epstein was a sicko of epic proportions, he pales in contrast with the levels of depravity in Trump. I'm sure that Epstein's last thoughts as Trump's henchmen 'assisted' him in his suicide was 'How can Donald do this to ME?'

Depravity is the word…

Morning Rick (and Molly) - if I told you that I love your commentary you may take my comment out of context. Regardless, I do so enjoy listening to or reading folks who are deeply "wired" into US politics. Next, I suggest no longer referring to this galactically despicable matter as the "Epstein Files". I prefer to call this information what it is, "PEDO-files"!

Ultimately the only question that needs to be answered is, "Where the hell do we go from here?" What actions can be taken if victims don't file lawsuits (which will likely be dismissed by the compromised courts"? We all hope that some deus ex machina will abruptly descend and impose "justice" (whatever the fuck that means in today's dysfunctional environment). Robin Hood, Batman, Spiderman and Captain America are all fictional characters. Nobody is magically going to swoop down and rescue the country and the world.

The bastards who con-trol the media and our politicians are 3-4 steps ahead and have all the power and wealth to maintain the fucked up status quo.

These puppet masters and bastards are on the brink of solidifying their power. We're in Orwellian times with our "rights" and privacy about to disappear.

I'm not a pessimist by nature, but we're all in a dystopian whirlwind. Unorganized and lacking the wealth to defeat those who are responsible for bringing us to the place we are in.

So, while I enjoy reading what folks like Rick and Molly are saying, where oh where do we go from here?
