Further (possible) evidence that Trump is indeed the Antichrist: In the early 1980's I lived in Washington DC, worked at a hospital, had a colleague a few years younger than me, and we hit it off and became friends. One week at work she didn't seem herself, seemed quite worried, so I asked her was there something wrong? Turned out her husband had a history of what was probably manic depression, and most of the time he was fine, but sometimes not, and now he had disappeared, and of course she was very worried. A couple of days later he had been located--the New York city police had found him pacing frantically back and forth next to the construction site of Trump Tower, loudly ranting and raving about how evil Trump was. I often wonder how on earth that poor guy has coped with not just one, but two Trump presidencies.
I’ve reassured myself that he is *not* the Antichrist because, if I remember correctly what I was taught ( a very long time ago, I’ll admit) , the Antichrist is supposed to be handsome.
In 2015 I wrote on Twitter that I was seriously wondering if Trump was the Antichrist. My saying that then was not based on the depth of things you mentioned here, but instead on his being a nonstop liar, his media manipulation, his racism, the way he has accumulated wealth including (not paying bills) and other prior bad acts.
There was a time in my earlier life where, had such a photo appeared, I would have expected God to do some serious smiting down of such a philistine. I have noticed God seems to be fresh out of smiting these days. I have to assume there is no God or he has moved on to other more fertile grounds.
There definitely seems to be a connection between the Evangelicals support of Trump and their anticipation of End Times. Chris Jennings provides a deep examination of this relationship in his book, "End of Days: Ruby Ridge, the Apocalypse and the Unmaking of America." Using the tragedy of Ruby Ridge as a case study, he examines how radical Evangelism and a firm belief in the impending apocalypse led the Weavers, an educated suburban family living in Iowa, to head to the hills of Northern Idaho to await the End of Days. The book explores the history of apocalyptic evangelism in America and the threat it poses today. It is an intriguing, though disturbing read.

The evangelical rapture bullshit I’ve always found hideously cruel and hardly believable or Christian. There is no Antichrist but if there were, trump perfectly fits the description. If he really is the Antichrist then why aren’t people asking why all these evangelical dumbasses are still here…worshipping and voting for him. But in spite of my beliefs, I once actually read and admired John MacArthur’s Bible and many of his books but when he stuck with the unholy monster trump I knew the jig was up with the evangelical bullshit brigade - thankfully not all. I sent Tim Alberta’s marvelous books to my friend of 50 years but nothing could get her head out of trump’s ass and I haven’t spoken with her since January 6, 2021. Trump has destroyed families, friendships, and our flawed but beloved country. It will take decades to fix this nation and that can only happen if we keep the Republican’s out of power for decades to come. Why on earth we kept letting them back in after the horrors of Saint Ronnie Reagan I will never understand. Read C.S. Lewis’s The Last Battle. In Narnia the Lion Aslan is Jesus. At the Narnian end times an evil, conniving monkey shows up with a stupid donkey that he covers with a lion skin. The monkey declares that Aslan has returned and he gets a lot of Narians to follow the false god. Timely, not a good bedtime story.
In the end, the Antichrist and his supporters are thrown into a Lake of Fire. Nice ending.

I have enough Catholicism left in me to recognize that Trump is evil incarnate and yes. the Antichrist.
