Not only are they doing this in Montana but they are also in Utah at our Great Salt Lake trying to build a huge datacenter that will ruin the air quality. This is being done by Kevin O'Leary and the Government without a vote from the people. They also want to build a refinery which will further the pollution. The people have protested and took their water rights away but the fight has just begun.

I had the great good fortune to see a herd of thousands of buffalo run parallel to the road, about 100 feet from my car, while stuck on a small highway under construction in Wyoming. Could hear them long before we saw them. I guess they came to see what was going on, then they went on, and on and on. Incredible.

"MAGA doesn't conserve. MAGA consumes."

45/7 and his billionaire supporters won't be happy until they have defiled every inch of this beautiful, flawed country, possibly the greatest work-in-progress in history, and left behind a stinking, rotting corpse. Only his rube followers will wonder how it got this way.

We were recently in Oklahoma, and while we were visiting the Wichita Mountains we saw free roaming bison for the first time since we visited Yellowstone, 30 years ago. My wife and I still mention it in passing as it was one of the most unexpected and coolest things we saw on the trip. And now they are in the crosshairs like so many other things.....sad.

In response, returning from my service done at No Kings demonstration at our downtown center every two weeks; this Mass OT reading from Amos the prophet should strike a respondent chord:

"Hear this, you who trample upon the needy and destroy the poor of the land! 'When will the new moon be over', you ask, 'that we may sell our grain, and (when will) the sabbath (be over), that we may display the wheat (for sale)'?

'We will diminish the ephah, add to the shekel, and fix our scales for cheating!' 'We will buy the lowly for silver, and the poor for a pair of sandals; even the refuse of the wheat we will sell!' The Lord has sworn by the pride of Jacob: 'Never will I forget a thing they have done!'". Amos 8:4-7

Something to think about... Eternity is out there somewhere. And not too far distant for this 84-y/old retired capital defense lawyer/ AF veteran.

My friend told me thateveryone is up in arms about MAGA razing the West in the hunting magazines he reads; I told him they'd vote GOP, anyway.

I despise this administration with the force of 1,000 suns. Years ago, we watched the Wind Cave herd cross the highway in front of us ultimately surrounding the many vehicles as they moved on. It was awe inspiring.

I remember seeing buffalo at Custer State Park after visiting Mount Rushmore. Priceless history. American Natives believed in living alongside nature without defiling it; they in fact worshipped the natural wonders. Destroying our environment ultimately means destroying our compatibility with our world. To Hell with these greedy, selfish, ignorant fools.

What a great piece.

I'm a suburban Chicago guy so all I knew the plains, buffalo, bison, etc was from my geography book.

But last year I did a 10 day tour than included the Canadian Rockies, Montana, the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone and Glacier. My pictures are stunning, not because I'm a good photographer, but because what I saw was so utterly spectacular.

At one stop, we met an elderly native American who told us about how they used to capture and kill buffalo. This was in the 1500s or 1600s. A native American would wear a wolf's head and coat and stalk them until they ran off a cliff and killed themselves. The area was called Head Smash Jump. Wish I could post a couple pics here.

I don't like killing anything but that was an amazing story of the Wild West

Everyone should experience this part of our great country before there are oil derricks and condos.

Just when you think things can’t get any worse, another part of America gets defiled. These fucking people make me sick.

Bison truly built the prairie, and the land degraded seriously when they were killed off. Cattle graze standing still. Bison move about, fertilizing the land, preventing soil compaction, and spreading seeds when they roll around on the ground. This is a stupid move.

This makes me sick - every damned day.

“Trump’s Interior Department is evicting hundreds of bison from public land” is the kind of thing that makes my blood boil. What’s next? Shooting Eagles as sport? My Montana roots are deep. I have looked into the eyes of bears through a car window. 🏵️ On an unrelated note (see LS link below), will you and Andrew talk about the FSQ for the guy in this video on BEHIND THE NUMBERS? It must be off the charts. I believe FSQ is the mathematical formula for Face Slapability Quotient. But I famously don’t do math. Only story problems. All stories have problems.🧮🤯📕

Right on. I have seen the buffalo and the fur they leave after scratching on a tree. All Texans can get up close and personal with them at Cap Rock SP where the descendants of the Goodnight rescues roam free- including through your camp site! A sobering magnificent experience.
