The uber-wealthy don't want it because of the havoc the debt will wreak on the bond market. Maybe some high-income salaried people (who aren't uber-wealthy) might want it cuz tax cuts, but that's it. The populists like Bannon and Hawley don't want it cuz Medicaid cuts. The deficit hawks like Rand Paul certainly don't want it. The conspirazoids like Ron Johnson don't even want it. Who's left?
This is all in the context of Trump's waning influence. He's got Elon going Beast Mode on the bill right after Trump gave him that "gold" key, ROTFL. Whatever the Senate agrees on, it has to go back through Johnsonless in the House and he only squeaked it by by one vote last time. It seems like many of the Senate provisions will be stripped, maybe Byrd bath'ed out of the bill. And Thune is nowhere near the Machiavellian operator that Mitch McConnell was. I'm beginning to predict a failure by the deadlines and a government shutdown. I cannot see this circle getting squared in time.

People understand pocketing billions from crypto scams and taking multi-million dollar jets. They get 'well, we're all going to die' as republicans torch medicaid. Doesn't take a genius to understand that yes, in fact, we DO have hurricane season.
