I've always avoided listening to his whining--nails on the blackboard--but his decline really leaps out. He now is sleepy, monotone, adenoidal. Still whining, but oooh he sounds low-energy.

Dubya is not the total moron of legend; he's a reader. But he's not all that far into the triple digits IQ-wise, either. He took the pledge at age 40 and had that come-to-Jesus, sober Pat Summerall manic enthusiasm (to replace the drug high). So he was very easily led by the nose and my blame for invading Iraq and attempting to nation-build in Afghanistan instead of flushing OBL out of Tora Bora is something I lay at the feet of the shadow foreign policy president, Dick Cheney.
