Donny Dumpster Fire is a broken child who is playing with matches while he throws a parade that a) way less than the expected adoring hoards of worshipful sycophants showed up for and b) got rained on.

An aside here: To all of you broken evangelistic co-conspirators and sycophants from Ruff Tuff Rossie Vought to the smarmy and arrogant and very little ‘I’m obsessed with porn because I believe that it helps me to find my holiness in the righteousness of my savior Jesus’ Mikey Johnson and on down the sewage line-one of your ardent followers apparently was thinking that Jesus told him to go play dress ups, murder a couple of people and almost murder two more. This was a misshapen deluded clown whose last will and testament was a list of potential victims for his planned jihad for his personal Jesus and a note to his roommates: ‘I have made some bad choices, and I may soon be dead’. My guess is that this sad-sack will be found somewhere dead in his car by his own hand. He will have died the dishonorable death that so many of these self righteous cowards who feel ‘direction’ to do such incalculable evil die. It’s always ‘Ready. Shoot. Aim.’ with these wackos. Dawn comes up on marble head and it’s ’Gee, I think I might have fucked up…’ and then it’s not ‘Jesus’ who’s your brother ‘good and kind’ but the bullets left in the chamber that are the only thing that’ll shut off the noise if the inescapable disaster of your life in your no longer magnifying mind.

And just a closing thought here: the rain yesterday on our little d dear leader’s hobby horse birthday pay-raid?parade? Maybe the thought that that was God weeping might provoke all of you who are arrogant enough to think that YOU see all of this as good and right to repent. Why? Because all those crowds yesterday? Thst added up to a shit ton more humanity that braved the weather for that disgraceful ‘happy birthday to me’ display in what is still our troubled nation’s capitol yesterday. Those OTHER crowds are the tinder hung out to dry that’s dry & getting drier by the second whilst your deluded ballboy is throwing himself a party where the game playing with matches blindfolded

This will not be ending well. The question is-how many innocent people whom you are vilifying because you’re so afraid of who you are that you can’t look yourself in the mirror without throwing up are you going to take with you?

So it looks like I'm doing No Kings solo. I tried to talk my cousin into going with me (they say bring a buddy for safety) but she has her beloved aikido (she's a black belt) in the afternoon. In about two hours I'll board the subway to City Hall, walk on over to Love Park and march down Ben Franklin Boulevard to the Philly Art Museum. I'll have my bottled water, KN95 masks in case of tear gas, won't bring any ID and I am the last man in North America to refuse to own a mobile phone.

I've been to nuclear freeze protests, I was in Manhattan to protest the invasion of Iraq while Colin Powell was dropping his turds at the UNSC and also in Manhattan to protest Trump's election.

This will be the most important protest I've ever attended. This is the critical moment.

Solidarity to all.

When people parrot Trump's line about "paid protestors", don't hesitate to share this with them:

Not only is Trump paying people to attend his "parade", he's offering compensation in his worthless scrip. Here's hoping the weather reports bear out and his precious parade get rained out.

Paid in cryptocurrency, LOL At least George Soros' checks always cleared ;)

"We encourage people of color and ethnic groups to sign up for maximum perception control ... "

"Maximum perception control," Christ on a creamsicle. "People of color and ethnic groups." Hey I'm a white guy but I'm Irish. Do I count as an ethnic group? ;)

as an AF two-term staff sgt in the Intelligence branch, I have trouble picturing what I just heard. I was in S. Korea when JFK was killed and in Japan when the Pueblo affair blew up. Got out in 1968 and went to law school. Glad I did. But I thought I would never see this day... God help us all.

Want to get even deeper under Trump's thin skin?

Start telling people that Netanyahu would have listened to what President Joe Biden had to say, rather than just ignoring him.

The GRIFT. The blind loyalty to a psychotic old man who cannot read or understand what our country is founded on. God help the military personnel who follow along with him. God help us. I think you are correct. Should he 'have his way' its over. OVER. And we tearfully look for a place in Spain.

For those who haven't read Daniel Barkhuff's piece (recommended by Rick in The Friday Brief) do so. Daniel reminded me that there are still honorable citizen soldiers in our military, though they may be getting to be fewer among the ranks of power as Trump/Hegseth thins out those who might object to actions being asked. I felt better, in ways, after reading his piece.

That said, the military has allowed the promotion of Christian Nationalism in its ranks through the Chaplain Corps. Soldiers required to listen to "sermons" and "advice" towards one political philosophy. Too many don't respect civilians, or civilian leadership. "If the civilian leadership would just let us do our jobs the way we know how..." Yeah, Douglas MacArthur thought that in Korea, and could have set the region ablaze in a nuclear regional conflict. So we have a military that is a house divided. Those who have chosen a time honored path of bettering themselves and showing that they too belong, and those who want to push a 'philosophical' agenda through might.

Once Trump has (I didn't say allow, there's a difference) the military 'suppress' those using their Constitutional rights to peaceably petition the government for grievances (1st Amendment) by the use of deadly force, he may discover that his 'beautiful country of Trump' is now burning itself down from within. The Boston Massacre didn't quell the anger in the citizens of Boston, but ignited it into a firestorm.

Now I'm just waiting for Trump to announce that, through some twisted mechanization of poorly worded law, he's found a way around the 2nd Amendment. No country that Trump admires the leadership of allows ordinary citizens to bear arms without serious limitations and at the pleasure of the rulers. "I had to take everyone's' guns away because I couldn't just take them from the libs..." At that point, will the right wing gun nuts rise up, or be complacent in that "it makes sense"?

Read "V for Vengeance" and note the references to the civil war in America.

For those who believe the systems will still hold, look at the 'wisdom' of the right wing Supreme Court. They've abandoned the Constitution and are manufacturing 'beliefs' out of whole cloth. Talk about activist judges. The Framers are spinning in their graves. Then there are the 'conservatives' in the legislature who have thrown away their erstwhile belief in democracy ('we're a republic, not a democracy'... but they forget that you can't represent the people without democracy voting.)

Then of course, there are the 'tough words' Democrats who won't take the obvious path to shutting things down through legislative process. They'll accept Trump's status quo in order to say "we didn't destroy it, while they close their eyes to the fact that they're no longer relevant.

I don't like feeling this way, to say the least. I want to have hope, but I'm also not willing to have sunshine blown up my backside to delusionally believe it.

So disappointed that my local city is having a Flag Day parade instead of another successful & peaceful large rally. Any other year, fine, let's celebrate Flag Day. Not in this hellscape moment. Our county Democratic party sent out their monthly newsletter with the relevant news that they are having a PB&J collection for a pantry and planning a summer corn roast. WTAF, have they watched the news for the last 4.5 months???!! Care to join the moment and stop living in 1997? I'm heading to another county to attend a No Kings rally, and it is scaring me to discover their protest is across the street from a huge Pride festival. They already have enough crank religious zealots and truck nutz MAGA idiot groups harassing the Pride event, I'm really really nervous about what a tinder box this Saturday is going to be. But still, we press on. BE SAFE everyone and peaceful. #NOKINGS

Perhaps view the Pride Festival and #NoKings protest as an opportunity for mutual support. The crank religious zealots, truck nutz MAGAs, et al would likely show up at ‘either’ event. Find allies - make friends. There’s common ground there.

Who believes that Trump did not know what Netanyahu was going to do with bombing in Iran Especially after he could not reach a nuclear deal with Iran after he got rid of what Barack Obama accomplished?

Who believes the denial that Trump did not know anything was going to happen?
