Just once, I would like to hear a reporter reprimand Trump when he calls her a name, rather than answer her question. He also needs to be reminded that he is an employee of the US citizens.

Excellent article and 💯 spot on with, “No man who lives on a diet of corruption, cruelty, Big Macs, Filet O’Fish, KFC, and burnt steaks and spite gets to call anyone “Piggy” ever. “

Jeff Tiedrich puts it best: "The first reporter who asks Trump 'what the fuck is wrong with you?'" deserves a Pulitzer Prize. The thing that I find most disgusting of all is that the collective response of the media present was to shrug their shoulders.

I have a suggestion for whatever future (especially female) reporter who is similarly attacked. I have used this myself.

It is “ you might consider looking at yourself in a mirror and saying that”. Then turning and walking away.

I suppose it would take being willing to lose the position in the plane. I think another job would come open. It will be a woman. Not that a man couldn’t, but men seem to be enthralled by pecking order in a way that women are not.

Men won't do it. Many who used to have a spine have morphed into gelatinous both sidesers. Chris Cuomo, Jake Tapper come to mind

Then there's the brigade of C+ ers like Smerconish, Chuck Todd and Chris Cillizza. All white men, all desperately afraid of losing 3 followers by appearing liberal. The Fox gang makes no pretense of being in the tank for him. These guys do more damage

A few women who I'd pick to get in his face are Nicolle Wallace, Joy Reid, Steph Ruhle and a few others. Maggie Haberman notably is not on that list. Neither is Norah O'Donnell

I wonder what it would take for millions of women to dress up like the classy Miss Piggy and march down Pennsylvania Avenue carrying signs meant to humiliate and shame him. It does bring a smile to my face.

America is under assault. T does what T does. Which is exactly what an abuser does. And it will take generations to cope with his abuse. Abuse is the only way of communication he knows. Everything and every one becomes an object of his abuse.

Tennessee Brando had a terrific take on this, equating the MAGAe with the Civil War, 9/11 and 11/23/1963. Events which take decades to get over. Dumpty IS MAGA.

I think Mr. Wilson will approve of the cross-post: https://open.substack.com/pub/tnbrando/p/donald-trump-is-maga?r=die7t&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

My humble opinion, no one should call a woman doing her job "piggy." That is beyond the pale. Even if they were calling Kim Davis "piggy" for NOT doing her job.

It doesn't matter that the alleged "male" is a grotesque blimp.

Yeah... true for certain and hard to deny, but ... she's not a reporter trying to get a decent answer from Trump... It's sort of hair splitting, isn't it. I wonder how we can settle this? Let's call her a bigot, which nobody can deny, and no pigs were maligned in the process. That works for me 😁

You're right, it was obscure; put another way, Dumpty insults women no matter what the women are doing, whether they are at work or just standing there.

Oh, yes, I get this. But what I don't get is why no one has the gumption to challenge his nasty behavior. That script of insults,"you're a horrible reporter, you're a horrible person, your company is fake news..." I wish someone would say, "If we are fake news it's because that is what you give us."

He's projecting, but worse. What an abhorrent individual. I can't understand why anyone would vote for him, but then I've had enough experience living in a woman's body to recognize his loathsome type. I recognized it in 2016, and he just keeps degenerating further into his true form.

Thank you Rick for this post, very well said. I'm ashamed of all the other journalist who kept asking him questions. They all should have just walked away in protest of how a fellow journalist was just treated.

They're all a bunch of cowards. They're so afraid of losing their precious access that they'll never do anything to risk it.

Now they're a bunch of scribes who write what Trump tells them to write.
