I am so grateful for both of you, and for all the excellent writers/presenters I subscribe to on Substack. I don’t know if the figures exist, but here’s what I truly would like to know: has Trump made more money (selling his soul and our nation) as President than he did as a (failing) businessman? I’d like to poke endless holes in the narrative that he was a brilliant businessman who can apply the same knowledge to running the country.

If a police officer's family protest against trump, & the officer has supported trump, will he or she still support trump, when their whole family is arrested, & jailed?
Half a trillion dollars? Not even close. From 1995 to 2023, $250B dollars was spent on missile defense in America. It's still in its infancy. The detection, analysis, and interdiction of incoming missiles is still limited. What we've demonstrated has almost always been easy targets, like known satellite movements.

The Trump Reality Show. ahem. If you look at any reality show, whether Survivor, or cooking competitions, or renovation shows, or ... with a jaundiced eye, you'll soon realize that it's all the magic of television, and nothing more. Survivor season one was real, and was extreme. The production company manipulated it from then on to protect the participants yet make people believe it was real. 'Mountain Men' where most situations have a lot of questions to be asked. Who's running the cameras, or the drones, etc., let alone why is the situation existing at all. Don't even mention 'The Apprentice'.
It's all about playing the rubes and taking their money and numbing their minds.
The Oath of Office
People who say that the three parts of the government are not equal because Congress and the Courts don't have the power to enforce their decisions and edicts. Well, the Founders believed in that oath; and that any man (back in the day) who achieved the position of President would protect and defend the Constitution. Trump is far too much like King George III. Not just in his edicts but also in the fact that King George III was mad as a hatter over the years.

The ripping apart of the rule of law is the absolute destruction of what has been looked at by the rest of the world as America's true greatness. The ripping apart of the humanity that America has exhibited from the turn of the last century until now is what has stabilized the world. The Marshall Plan, the Constitution of Japan (actually better than ours, and yet designed by an authoritarian, Gen MacArthur), the feeding of the world in times of tribulation; all of these made the world's people's eyes look up to America. And Trump and Co are ripping it all apart, and with glee.
This administration is just a vile SHIT SHOW with no end of sight. I will be very surprised if we have mid term elections. Jesus Wept.
