He's lashing out at LP because he knows that the border crisis is literally all he has to run on that's tangible and LP is threatening to pull back the curtain on it and expose just how nakedly cynical he was by killing the best border bill the GOP could have or would have ever gotten, and to the voters who care about the border most of all.
