I wish someone on the production side would take out that Shure SM-7 mic and replace it with an EV RE-20 or RE-27.
The Shure has terrible proximity effect and otherwise is murky and especially terrible on plosives. Though it's unfortunately popular in the 'podcast' world, it is definitely not the microphone of choice for untrained voice talent.

This prison - why bother? It's nicer than my condo ammenities, and what constitutes the punishment? That people know where to find these women? Why not just ankle bracelet them and be done with it. It sounds more like my workplace I retired from than a prison (why I say that is my supervisor was an odious woman).
