Gentlemen. Ladies. Former Republican colleagues, friends, and clients:

Well, you got through it, didn’t you? You managed to ignore January 6th, or worse, embraced the New History of that Special Day of Love from the White House.

Feeling smug?

Like you kept Donald Trump happy by not looking at the terror that charged the Capitol five short years ago? Like the stain on your honor you’ve tried to wash out for five years isn’t visible any longer?

You shouldn’t.

Everything Trump Touches Dies is the rule you’ll never escape, and it’s warming up for a 2026 performance that’s going to shake the rafters.

You feel it, don’t you?

None of the pretty lies from pollsters about “fraud polls great!” or chest-beating from the committees about your path to victory seems very real, do they? The majority is a thin razor now, and the chance you hold on to it even before the 2026 election is diminishing by the day.

Your moral and personal cowardice has sealed you in the tomb with Trump, as the slaves of ancient kings were immured with their Lord and King when he shuffled off to some afterlife or another.

I watched you yesterday, the way one watches an old home movie tape that you can’t quite look away from: the same faces, the same habits, the same little rituals and ticks, the same familiarity from the times before, but something is darker now, something broken and sick hangs over you like an evil cloud.
