I sometimes listen to your articles and follow along reading the text and I’m not impressed with the AI bot reading. It misses many nuances, which leads me to believe AI isn’t perfect and needs human oversight and control. so if we settle for mediocre AI products we really have descended into an idiocracy.
My cookbook, “To Serve Billionaires,” will include recipes for Musk Burgers, Sacks Snacks, and Zuck Sushi. Upstate NY'er here, received my Absentee Ballot around the 23rd of September. Mailed it back on Oct. 1, 2026 at the local PO. Just checked on voter look up and it still hasn't been received. I will be checking daily now.
If you read "Nerd Reich", and you realize the deluded fantasies the tech bros entertain of a "Super Intelligence" that allows them to transition to some kind of CEO/monarchy, or network state delusion, where they will figure out how to colonize Mars and beyond while at the same time attaining immorality, it is hard to not conclude that there is a significant likelihood they are making terrible business decisions and that the AI bubble is real and will at some point burst.
I could be wrong. But these people , while obviously not dumb, are living in their own deluded sci-fiction bubble. They are the superior overlords and intellects and tech can solve any problem.
Here's a good one that I heard just this morning! The man in the white house is offering the elders of this fair land $90 to take care of the medications. I've seen most people my age and older usually have more than one medication they are taking! That $90 wouldn't pay for more than one medication as it is. What was he thinking, it's all up there in his addled brain!
