Why The DOJ's Leaders Must Spend The Rest of Their Lives In Jail
Look at them. Really look at them.
If you want to understand how a Republic dies, you don’t look at the fringes of MAGA screeching on Twitter, or at some bleating Fox News hack, or at Mike Johnson’s House of cheering goons, or into J.D. Vance’s dead doll eyes.
Look at the criminals at the Department of Justice.
The sneering Todd Blanche, Ghislaine Maxwell’s legal sugar daddy. The grinning, soulless she-demon Pamela Jo Bondi, reveling in the agony of the Epstein victims. The drunken dwarf Kash Patel, using the big boy helper steps to board his taxpayer-funded jet to party with hockey players or to visit his girlfriend.
Look at the place on the MRI of Washington power where the cancer grows. Where the toxic, metastasizing peril consuming our nation is expanding, corrupting everything it touches. Look at the institutions that once served justice and now serve only Trump’s autocratic ends, his willful political revenge, his cash-and-carry pardon sales, his rampant theft, and his commitment to protecting himself and his allies.
And right now, the heart of the American executive branch isn’t just broken; it’s a site of the fatal, malignant corruption.
Keep repeating the litany of the damned: Pam Bondi, the Florida fixer turned Attorney General; Todd Blanche, the private counsel who traded his soul for a Deputy AG badge; Kash Patel, the “Deep State” pod-bro conspiracist now sitting on a booster cushion in J. Edgar Hoover’s chair; Jeanine Pirro, the Franzia-soaked harpy, shrieking performative vengeance; Susie Wiles, the silent enabler, and, of course, the criminal mastermind Donald Trump.
In a just world, they’d be marched from their offices in the Department of Justice straight to the gibbet, but I’m made of sterner stuff than most in understanding that unless these criminals are punished in spectacular, public, and final ways, the disease will keep growing. The toxin will keep spreading.
In a practical world, they need to spend the rest of their lives being investigated, prosecuted, sued, shunned, and treated as the criminals and conspirators they most certainly are. No law firm should hire them, lest they be excluded from any and all government contracts (I was told that’s perfectly normal!). They should have Federal prosecutors seeking indictment after indictment against them. (I was told that’s perfectly normal!). They should be subject to internal investigations for every…single…action in office. Not one moment of the rest of their miserable lives should be peaceful. The more of them who spend time in a cell, the better.
They truly believe they’ll never face justice. As a nation, we have to prove them wrong.
