While all of us are wring our hands, the ICE agent who murdered Renee Good is collecting a million dollars from our fellow citizens who think what is going on is OK. If Americans really were rational and decent, Trump would be gone.

Thank you, Mr. Wilson for the podcast, I enjoyed, Mr.Matthew’s interview. I am glad Ms Hemphill, refused the pardon from Trump. I am also glad Trump taco’s from Greenland, he bad mouthed the E. U. I guess he didn’t get what he wanted. I have all books placed on my favorites list for the time being. When does your book come out again? I remember Senator Kennedy’s funeral train , my father put me up on his shoulders, I was just seven years old. This was one of times, I saw my father’s face weep tears, he believed that the Vietnam war should be stopped and also believed that Senator Kennedy, would be the next president of the United States 🇺🇸. Please subscribe to Rick Wilson’s Against All ENEMIES.

Thanks Rick: The statement Trump said on Jan 6. 2021. "It was just a day of love" That should be all you need to know about this moron.

Trump told Davos that he is greater than President Lincoln!

OMG ... Chris Matthews?

Hope he was remote so you didn't get spit upon

Uhm...when was this " decency era"???

These police officers put their lives on the line to save our country from this dangerous and corrupt regime. They are American Heroes. There were officers who lost their lives on this day for seditious acts committed by President Trump. President Trump called the men who arrested for this act of violence, hostages. I find this administration a disgrace and dangerous to all of us. I’m going to have some taco’s for lunch 🥗. According to MS Now no troops in Greenland. Breaking news to come later.

I'm not nice to Nazis. We should have learned our lesson from Karl Rove and the Swiftboating of a genuine war hero who lost to an AWOL reservist. We should have learned when Mitch McConnell pissed all over Barack Obama with the Garland nomination. We should have learned from the birther bullshit. I learned. I knew who they were. You were on that team.

Don't discount when someone realizes their mistakes and makes amends as Rick Wilson has done... otherwise why do we even bother if you have to be a "loyalist" from the get go? A wise man/woman learns from their mistakes and then moves forward.

Kerry Truchero's avatar

I agree. Which is why I said what I said about his intellect and honesty.

Mike's avatar

This is true about Rick. Much as I love him now, he helped get us to this point with decades of GOP shilling

That said, recently someone here said about him "You're working hard because you feel shame over your past work" (not the exact words)

Rick agreed and said so.

So at least he seems to have a conscience. It's OK to forgive.

And that is the truth. One that I have never forgotten. Same thing is true of Schmidt and a few others. I utterly despised these men for all of the obvious historical reasons. Now It's simply the enemy of my enemy is my teamate...I won't say my friend. I wonder how they could not have had the same insights back then as they so forcefully and sincerely hold forth on now...but I put it aside to take down the true life threatening adversary....

I think Rick brings a world of intellect and honesty to the fight. He knows exactly who these assholes are. I haven’t seen one word of his that convinces me he has not truly converted to the progressive cause. Maybe he has some “conservative” principles? Fine. That doesn’t disqualify him. Schmidt has said and done some really questionable stuff. He’ll make a decent point now and then, but I don’t trust him for a second. I trust Rick.

Mike's avatar

The only one who's made a full throated 'confession' is Stuart Stevens. His book "It Was All A Lie" is must read

As for Rick, yes, I trust him. Although I think he's still a neo con at his root. But he's on Team Sanity now, so ... wtf. We'll take all the help we can get

BTW, on Schmidt, yes to his smarmy past. But his takedowns of Trump and Meghan McCain (hilarious; imagine roadkill) are epic

Sher''s avatar

I also theoretically trust Rick more...(fyi..).

Sher''s avatar

I don't disagree with you actually. I just think on some levels that they have always known. I agree with them, I'm glad they came around finally. The truth is the truth ..no matter who finally speaks it.

I’m actually related to John Kerry, (we’re both Clan Forbes,) and I hate to say this but I think GWBush won that election because he was, frankly, a lot better looking. Don’t tell me things like that don’t matter because I believe, sadly, they do.

Sher''s avatar

🤯😳...Wow! You think monkey face was better looking that John Kerry? To each their own...

Mike Hammer's avatar

That’s exactly correct. It’s about looking the part because they can’t govern.

Kerry Truchero's avatar

I’m not here to argue with you, but allow me to propose another reason. John Kerry lost because he didn’t go full macho pissed off on the Swiftboat lie. He didn’t spend money running AWOL reservist ads on Bush all over the swing states. He didn’t threaten to punch the liars in the nose. He was too “decent”, too nice. Americans responded to Trump physically intimidating Hillary at a debate years later. American men vote for their big, bad daddies. I was dying, waiting for Kerry to punch back. He never did. I spent the Obama years waiting for him to punch back. Only Nancy Pelosi ever had the balls to punch back. Ripping up Trump’s SOTU speech was the best thing a Democrat has done in fifty years. Newsom gets it.

Mombeka's avatar

That too. For the most part it’s the women who are the fighters these days. There’s exceptions. We all know who are the fighters. But IMHO, it’s not enough to be a fighter. You have to be smart and, as Wajahat Ali says, not throw people - ANYONE- under the bus. Frankly I think almost all politicians are crooks or they become crooks in order to function within a flawed system. It’s always a matter of choosing the lesser of two evils for me.

Mike's avatar

Taking a broad brush and calling them all crooks is lazy and inaccurate

Mombeka's avatar

You’re welcome to your opinion. Do you know that every single member of the Senate BAR NONE takes money from Israel?

Mike's avatar

This is exactly right. ALL of it

He sat on the ropes, wouldn't respond, thought it would all go away. Whoever was advising him should never manage another campaign

I like John. A decent man who stands for good. And he'd have been a good POTUS

But he failed as a candidate. And John Edwards and his $400 haircut didn't help. Couldn't even win his home state

W was easily the dumbest, worst POTUS in our history, until ...
