This is going to be a brief edition of the brief. To say I need a little rest doesn’t even begin to capture the reality of my exhaustion.

Inside:
The ETTD Election
Is Fox Dying?
MAGA Social Media Crashouts
Trump Is Decompensating
Are Schumer and Jeffries Up To The Job
The Lear Crash
Oh, That’s A Real Shame
If You’re In DC Next Week
Scenes From The Home Front

The Big Picture

The ETTD Election

This was the biggest week in American politics in a hundred years, and I’m not being cute about it. Bigger than Watergate in ‘74. Bigger than 1980, 1994, 2006, 2010 or 2018. Democrats took the House, they took the Senate, and they took governor’s mansions in states where Republicans had stopped bothering to read their own polls. They took state legislatures, broke state supermajorities, swept local races for school boards and county commissions.

I’ve been preaching the rule for years. I named a book after it.

Everything Trump Touches Dies. It’s as close as politics gets to Newtonian physics, and the only variable is how long it takes. Some victims go fast, some go slow, but the rule collects from every one of them, and on Tuesday it came for MAGA.

When I said, “Everything,” I meant Everything.
