Hi Rick, Consider interviewing Rep. Jolanda Jones (https://www.jolandajones.com) who has done the best job of explaining the racially gerrymandered maps to Joy Reid on her Substack with diagrams & numbers. This will happen again in other states.

Here are the links to other fighters who are educating the public:

1) 8/19/25 - Rep Jones' Explanation of the proposed maps: https://youtu.be/Ilssj4uqMq4?si=FCef05_YeJVgHDEY

2) 8/15/25 - Rep Jones' explanation prior to return of TX reps: https://youtu.be/N-BYDQUO2bk?si=9XSTz3pPlowN1wOt

4) 8/18/25: Roland Martin has also been covering this in-depth & educating his audience. A clip with Rep Jones: https://youtu.be/NPgjxofAzg0?si=OlysEFhf0Gct6VR3 Cheers! A loyal paying LP subscriber.

Can we get a serious bill proposal for huge fines, loss of benefits for senators, congress, judges, all politicians in particular and general public, for tampering with the voting process in any form, mail-in or stand-in. To include executive orders by any President. Something the Public can vote on that is passed outside the house? Outside members of congress. By Public demand... Is that doable? Something retroactive to even go after past infractions?

It's almost like time to just stage our own elections and form a new government for ourselves. Can Houston secede from Texas?

National my friend, National... I still remember when the GOP posted fake mail-in collection boxes to capture opposing party ballots in a previous election. They got caught, admitted it, yet the DEM's didn't try to prosecute them. Go figure?

Roland would’ve been elected senator if we didn’t have a contested primary and a well funded opposition. Infuriating.!!

We get a lot of Texans visiting Maine and thinking of moving here.

Maybe they can help us replace Susan Collins with this guy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=53bZ_95nDjk. He's the real deal.

It’s sad. The world’s wealthiest country increased taxes on and stripped benefits from the poor—to feed the wealthy. Gerrymander-elected government does not serve its people. Tear this house down. Give heathcare, food, and living wages to everyone. Here are 108 protest signs for your protests. Protesting is now critical for Occupied D.C. There is time to get signs printed for your protest group. Fill the hands of the signless. FreeDC!

It’s not that we can’t feed the poor, it’s that we can’t satisfy the wealthy.

You know we have similar problems with infrastructure in our state of Hawaii (example: the Lahaina Wildfire) and we’ve been an all blue state pretty much since statehood (1959)

To understand the politics of the State of Hawaii I recommend reading Gavin Daws book, Land and Power in Hawaii.

Gavin was from Australia and just recently passed away. His widow Carolyn is a close neighbor and the family also knew my husband’s father who was a Marine and a Pulitzer Prize winning war correspondent.

Everyone who has been in Hawaii since before WWII is related somehow to everyone else by about 2 degrees of separation.

Did the GOP/MAGA/Trump Texans forget that the Dem Texans are from Texas too?
