There'll be booming business in the newly established "Suicide Parlors" where all those who can't cope anymore can go to be "ended", free of charge. A la Soylent Green

what I heard today is that the Medicaid cuts are not scheduled to bite until after 2026 midterms: proof that there is awareness of the poison, and that plausible deniability is its covering flavor (cue up "they said we were cutting your healthcare but it hasnt happened, has it? See, those lying libs just lied to you again! Vote GOP!!")

I am under the impression that elements of the bill are being implemented over a 2-3 year period. Correct? If so it seems, unfortunately, so many are not doing anything until it hits them directly.

I hope you are right that politically this results in a change in the majority of the house, maybe even the senate. I do wonder though if there will be free and fair elections in 2026. The pace of change is so rapid. The tools to intimidate are tightening. I’ll keep fighting but damnit the Dem leadership is doing a crappy job.

The Latinos who say "I thought he would only come after the criminals!" are the canary in the coal mine. Red State governors eager to cause pain will rush in with work requirements and people will lose health care and die. It's Stalinesque and Red States will be like Ukraine in the 1930s starved by indifference.

One positive result: they’ve awakened the sleeping giant. Much of the electorate sits out elections. It’ll be interesting to see what voter turnout looks like next year. Someone close to me just realized he may lose his Medi-Cal, and he is NOT HAPPY. I made sure to emphasize the importance of voting for the right people when the time comes!

To paraphrase a line from the movie "Meet Joe Black" ... They "will be looking at an outcome that will have a finality that is beyond their comprehension, and they will not be counting the days, or the months, or the years, but millenniums, in a place with no doors."

Let's start our club of masked crusaders. Trump's building up his masked marauders to protect his new "Smelly-Ass Cologne", $250 a bottle. Must be fresh off the golf course. I think a signed adult diaper would sell better, with a golf club as the trademark on the crotch.

Trumps Billionaires are gathering in Sun Valley Idaho on the 4th of July to celebrate their tax cuts. It is sponsored by the Allen Company a private equity firm in NYC. Dozens of private planes will begin to arrive this weekend so the boys can hang out together. Pass it on to- show up if you are in the area. We need boots on the ground- they hide from the public - shut the entire valley down.

Assume the bbb passes and despite voter suppression, the dems win big. What happens then?

Says it all but preaching to the choir.. There will not be justice but injustice. MAGA cultists cannot be swayed but they will feel the pain, we all feel. Because so many vulnerable people will suffer and there is no safety net for them
