thanks, Rick, for this.

just watched NBC Nightly News, and today, 3rd anniversary of Jan. 6, they led with a story about a plane malfunction that ran 7min. halfway through the broadcast they did about 15sec on the new footage of cops pointing guns at rioters. that was it.

don't know if the other networks did better, but if this is how they're heading into this year we're screwed bc they simply refuse to spend any time defining the stakes and reminding the still sleepy what actually happened three years ago and is now being furiously buried by the rw.

Obsessions and Delusions

When thats who you are......a skilled marketer of who you are......

Then one day you wake up from your long and profitable delusion and your obsession is gone.....soul......ed out.......

Then the deluded acolytes are gone.......

Then the easy $’s , like a dream of an Easy Day are gone........

All that skill and who you are is gone..........

What a waste!

This says it so well. And it's so simple we've missed it. Americans and Dems have fallen asleep because of the sheer normalcy of the Biden Presidency. There are no 5 alarm "I'm gonna burn this country down" daily fires. There are no scandals. Hear that, Comer? You're making an ass of yourself. And btw, why did you beat up your girlfriend and threaten her mother?

I digress.

Only criticism I have of the Biden approach is that it's too polite, too nice. It's long been said that Dems bring butter knives to AR-15 fights, and so far Joe & Co. haven't done much to change that.

That said, the campaign hasn't exactly swung into full gear yet. If I'm them, I'd hire a take-no-prisoners, slash and burn approach. Trump is a criminal, he's badly compromised by Putin, he will pull us out of NATO, he'll cede Ukraine to Putin, and that's just day 1.

I'd love to see Rick manage the campaign.

My suggestions Rick:

1. Highlight how much disdain Trump has for his base. After his scripted rallies, does he ever actually meet and greet his audience? Has he ever shaken their hands, has he ever had a conversation about how to make their lives better? They are merely props and your ads should show this. What has he ever done other than give his base permission to be their worst selves?

2. Focus on the facism, clips of surviving WWII veterans who beat facism and what the reality of that was (especially those who liberated the death camps). Also it will be the 80th anniversary of the war in Europe ending in May 2025, does America and the world really want Trump attending events when he is the very thing the allies defeated?

I’m so nervous for America and the world, sending hope and stoicism all the way from Scotland.

I like that image. Something out of World War Z. We will see how engaged the electorate becomes. Try not to oversell it, as there are issues people take very seriously and Trump has a talent for mining these veins, like our southern border. The big issue is the Big Lie but overselling Biden only helps obscure that. Also, boring government is not necessary “good governance”. Focus on the Big Lie and crimes against our institutions.

“I wrote in “Ten Rules for 2024” some of my suggestions for how to approach this coming battle. I’d be delighted to have you share yours in the comments as well.”

There’s a reason why you are perhaps the best political consultant in the business. You’re great, not only at diagnosing the problem, your ten point plan is genius; at least compared to everyone else’s “non-existent” plan.

I understand that American’s have become complacent and soft. Today, they demand the great, and won’t accept the good. In fact, I’m not even sure if we are even capable of understanding the difference.

Biden, like most democrats, appears incapable of defending his record; even though it is far better than the competitions. Obama has issues during his second campaign, and needed to utilize Bill Clinton to tout his economic successes. Biden, is even worse at communicating success’s than Obama. And Trump, of course, takes credit for every successful policy whether he was responsible or not; the Veterans Choice bill comes to mind.

That said, I’ll leave you all with a quote from a wise former politician:

“If you agree with me 70% of the time, vote for me. If you agree with me 100% of the time, find a good therapist.”

America is definitely in need of a good therapist, and some serious medication..:)

Thanks for the invite to share our 2024 activism plans. I live in Nevada about 50 miles from the state capitol. We are one of the states often cited as problematic for Biden. I’m going to be a volunteer for Senator Jackie Rosen. I have read that her seat maybe in jeopardy and we cannot lose such a great woman to represent us. Unfortunately, our Governor is a trumper so Democrats have be proud and loud.

An abortions right initiative was was tossed a Judge. I’m going to do what I can towards protecting womens health care and full abortion rights. I’m 70 and I am fighting for all women. Having abortion on the ballet will also draw liberations and Democrats to the polls.

I’ll continue to keeep myself informed and ready to speak up.

NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO!!!! The year started on a Stormy Monday and the first week of January always feels like a Stormy Monday every day and same with the next week and so forth until the sun starts rising earlier, starting on January 8th. Why can't we extend the illusion of safety and comfort of the Holidays and ignoring Trump-land just a few weeks more until we get over our December hangovers and begin to emerge from hibernation or as the kids call it, "bed rotting"?

Its actually going to be rough out there at the start with Covid levels surging along with the Flu and RSV. The hospitals are filling up and my guess is that the Pandemic that Roared Back will be the big story in a few weeks. Wear your masks everywhere!

Of course, the mouth breathers who don;t wear masks who never got vaccinated will blame it on Biden.

I am so tired of Trump and all of his problems taking up all the oxygen in the room! A cursory glance at the Media says that the Senate is about to go MAGA and what Trump will do when he wins - not if. Joe is too old and boring. The Economy is good while its bad. One may as well add the Yellowstone Supervolcano to the mix, along with the Coronal Mass Ejection that could wipe out 90% of humanity when it hits late in the month.

My guess is that this is all good for advertising ratings. I myself however, am not rushing out to buy the big Ford cars and crap that these good ratings are supposed to stimulate in me. Is anybody?

I think that if Biden wants success, to gain a few poll points he might address the inflation at the grocery store checkout line. A bag of groceries that cost $20 a few years back is now twice or three times that amount. Wall Street Numbers can look great but nobody thinks about this while shopping for food to feed one's family.

They call it stormy Monday

But Tuesday's just as bad

They call it stormy Monday

But Tuesday's just as bad

Lord, and Wednesday's worse

And Thursday's all so bad

The eagle flies on Friday

Saturday I go out to play

The eagle flies on Friday

Saturday I go out to play

Sunday I go to church, yeah

Gonna kneel down and pray:

Lord have mercy

Lord have mercy on me

Lord have mercy

Lord have mercy on me

Though I'm tryin' and tryin' to find my baby

Won't somebody please send 'er home

Oh ho

Lord have mercy

Lord have mercy on me

Yeah, I'm proud, Lord have mercy

Lord have mercy on me

Though I'm tryin', tryin' to find my baby

Won't send 'er home, yeah, oh baby

Dear Rick, while I love and understand the purpose of the "audience-of-one" LP ads. They stir up T and make him behave even more deranged which turns off all the middle (Bannon line) voters. Thats great. But I would also like to turn ON those voters too. My suggestion is very old school and very subconscious. HIGHWAY BILLBOARDS..

I have been driving the length of I95 quite a few times this last year (Fla to Ma and back). Many sections are "commuter" roads as well as interstate truck travel and tourist travel of course. Messaging Biden admin accomplishments - just the facts Jack - in a series is a cost effective way to reach a ton of eyeballs at an information-receptive moment.

maybe you could encourage uncredited "sponsorship" of a billboard as part of your fundraising for this endeavor? and not just I95 but also I90. I80, I40 and I10 e-w or I75, I15, I35, I85 N-S.

PS, I do not have any personal or professional involvement with billboards in any way. I have just been an involuntary road warrior for the last couple of years.

My wish list for now; that old saying; from your mouth to God's ears... I wish from Rick's mouth and 10 point list to Biden's ears.

My 100 postcards delivered today, and I hope to start by writing 10 in each of 4 states for ActivateAmerica. Then another 10 each and so on. [New York [George Santos' seat], Arizona [Ruben Gallego for senator], Nevada [re-elect Jacky Rosen] and California.
