Good morning. Should wait until the coffee kicks in but this is too important As a member of the Union, a pro-democracy coalition, the League of Woman Voters and an election official who will begin work Sept 20 with early voting, please pay attention to what Rick wrote

Everyone check your registration NOW at vote.org. Make sure everyone you know checks too. At the League’s voter registration tables that pepper every farmers market and community event I’ve asked we put up the QR code so people can check vote411.org to verify. Same info as vote.org just the League’s version.

Yesterday I was on a League zoom about election information. Question on what ID you need, the local election Registrar is asking that you use their website Too much misleading to the point of disinformation is out there. If you need help obtaining information then seek out Vote Riders and others who are there to help you obtain your id.

If you’ve voted by mail before do not think you’re guaranteed a ballot. Many states stopped the automatic send Check and confirm it’s arriving When it arrives fill it out completely and return immediately. Follow all the sign and date info. Do not delay returning it. Track and make sure it arrives

If you can vote early. That way if there’s any concern you have time to correct a voter ID issue.

Finally your vote is your own and no one else’s. Use it wisely

Yes there are forces out there who are trying to stop the election process by passing “voter integrity” laws. Do no be fooled. If they can stop you from voting they will. Make a plan to vote and vote

“This spring, Speaker Mike Johnson introduced the latest proposed voting rights restriction in the House of Representatives, the ironically titled ‘SAVE Act’. Speaker Johnson gave away the game at a press conference in May: the right’s concerns around non-citizen voting are based on their so-called “intuition” and not grounded in reality or anything close to it.”

Well said Rick! I would suggest the irony of having Speaker John’s claim that “intuitively” non-citizens are voting at alarming rates in US elections; however, given this man believes that dinosaurs roamed the earth with man, are we actually surprised he would make such an outlandish claim? Is this guy even qualified to be a city dog catcher? Just asking for a friend..:)

And agreed, there are various reasons over 21 million Americans don’t have access to birth certificates and other forms of ID’s; one major reason would be being born in the Jim Crow South as a minority where records either didn’t exist, or were destroyed for various reasons.

HL Mencken once said, “complex problems have simple, easy to understand, wrong answers!”

Most Americans take for granted that ID’s are easily available to every American, and that voting is an inalienable right. Under the American Taliban it’s not a right, or easily accessible.

What’s worse is that while Trump “stolen” election shenanigans can be entertaining at times, they are incredibly dangerous to our republic. Red states continue to change voting laws based on the whims and accusations of fraud and corruption, which doesn’t exist.

Yet, they are getting away with it, because most people believe that voting laws are sensible solutions to a problem which they are told is rampant, when all evidence points to the contrary.

Trump has magnified this issue. He keeps the debate going and allows republicans to make changes to voting rights that will always be to their advantage, while stifling the rights of millions of Americans trying to exercise a constitutional right.

Bottom line: I believe Harris has already won this election. The outcome is inevitable, and the Fed lowering the Fed Funds Rate by 50 basis points next week will help improve the economy down the stretch (with at least two more rate cuts before the New Year). Not to mention, enough Americans finally coming to their senses and realizing that TrumpEnomics will send our economy into an economic tsunami! Be afraid, be very…….:)
