I am now listening ...but I want to say I watched six out of the twenty five and a half hours of Senator Booker's FILIBUSTER yesterday...he STOOD up for all of us with COURAGE and ETHICS for all those hours...and I learned about what a "filibuster" is...because of this...MAGNIFICENT!!! Earlier today I listened to a market presentation by a very large brokerage house. One person was doing the fastest tariff tap dance I have ever seen. I was waiting for them to be pulled off the stage by a hook. They know it's going to be bad, anyone who has any sense about tariffs knows it going to be bad.
Cory Booker took the gloves off today, in a very Cory Booker sort of way, of course. But he didn't mince words. He called Trump's lies, LIES. He called out the damage Trump is doing to ordinary Americans on every topic you can name from the economy, to health care, to scientific research and development, to veterans issues, to social security and other earned benefits Americans rely on. And the best part was watching other Democratic senators contributing to a SUBSTANTIVE conversation about what Trump and Musk and DOGE are doing to this country. Things NOBODY voted for. He talked about foundational American values from the Founders to John Lewis, and he talked about the lives of ordinary Americans who are scared to death right now.
He was brilliant, and what he did was brilliant. And frankly, if Chuck Schumer had any balls, he'd hand over the minority leadership to Cory Booker and allow the Democrats to start making some Good Trouble.
EXACTLY!!! Our next PRESIDENT??? I've loved this man since I first listened to him several years ago...the best of our Democrats... Thank you for stating all the things he talked about..I took notes...but they're indecipherable. I was hoping Merkley, or Wyden ( from my state) would "spell" him ( Did they earlier???)..But all those who did, I appreciate too!!! This man has Cajones!!! Apparently, millions of people not just from the US but around the world, were watching online yesterday. I kept dipping in when I could and I found him riveting. I ended up watching the last 4 hours straight through. He gave us all the spark and the inspiration we need for this fight. When Susan Crawford won her race for WI Supreme Court last night, it was like John Lewis was looking down and saying, 'See? Don't give up? Make some Good Trouble, some Necessary Trouble."
Yes he did!!! I love "MAKE GOOD TROUBLE" Let's hit the streets on Saturday...John Lewis IS watching!!! He's certainly in "my head" LOVE CORY..He's the BOMB!!! YAY for Wisconsin!!!

I voted in Florida. It’s a huge red state so needless to say, Jimmy Patronis wins special election for Florida's 1st Congressional District.
Patronis earned 57% of the vote, while Valimont finished with 42%.
