I attended the Fort Worth freedom rally with Beto O'rourke, and other democracy loving residents of Texas this past weekend. We need to spread the word our freedom is at risk.
One of the few things we know is that Trump can't stop. He's a great, putrid shark who has to constantly 'move forward'. He sees no barrier that is not be overcome.
Trump doesn't know or understand the military. His contempt for those who serve is legendary. He sees it as a mere set-piece, in his televised Reality Drama, to be called up and told what to do, like movie extras.
Though the military traditionally obeys the civilian government, we've discovered that the latter can be weakened, compromised, and hollowed-out. It can be made inert by people with no principles beyond careerism or cravenness. American military people, though, are a whole 'nother kettle of fish. Their oaths mean something to them, their minds work in a completely different way than Trump can even comprehend.
We don't know what will happen when Trump, or one of his nitwit minions, orders a live-fire attack on civilians. Or starts rounding up civilian weapons.
The Big Birthday Parade was the merest glimpse into the military mind. They fucking humiliated him by... doing nothing. As soon as Trump becomes too costly to their honor and their oath, something, or a lot of nothing, will happen. Trump has no idea where that line is, or that it even exists.
But we know the fascist lizard, suffering from delusional victim complex, lies and exaggerates precisely to divide people and distract from the real problem - him. We know this by now, don’t we???
Plus, we know criminality and desperation are the outcome of GOPMAG-A-hole policies!!!

I don't know if Trump has made a study of fascism. The idea that he "studies" anything is somewhat ridiculous. But he seems to have a clear understanding of how fascism operates, and rewriting the past is an important element.
