I luv the Hopium pieces.. the writings give me true hope and understanding of the ‘24 elections. I also have listened to Michael Moore who has his ears and eyes on the voters and has been correct about elections even when most didn’t agree..I just listened to his recent podcast and he is VERY concerned about the loss of voters due to Biden support of Netanyahu.. his hope for a Biden win has been dimmed.. he explains in detail why.. is Biden going to allow this to continue..this may really hurt him and the rest of us with it 🤦‍♂️☹️

Economist Noah Smith on his Substack makes the case that 2024 is Biden's "Morning in America."

He shows that many of the economic indicators are headed the right way, and Biden managed to outflank the GOP on their core strengths, like energy policy.

Thank you Rick, Simon is great and very real. An on the mark conversation.

I first was introduced to Simon recently on The Last Word (one of the best programs on msnbc) and have shared his January recap video with others. For me, he is a beacon of hope, like a lighthouse, who is making the darkness of this time less scary via fact and research and hard work. Just love listening to him (and to you : ) So thankful for the work you are both doing. It is so important. The recent uptick in polling for Biden is such sweet relief and I now have more confidence it will continue to grow. Thank you, both for doing such good work. DA Squires

That was a great podcast Rick. I have been a subscriber to Simon's sub stack for a month or so now. Like you mentioned in the podcast, he provides actionable information, where folks can do things, small and large to help move the country in a more positive way. I like your pod and the Lincoln Project for the talented and necessary work, of making attacks against the thin skinned MAGA Mussolini, and I like Simon's ideas for taking action to turn out Democrats and pursuable Independents to vote. We need both of those, and with both of those and with both of those, we will win!

Rick, you and Simon were great. I just discovered him relatively recently and he’s a breath of fresh air.

I can’t believe you guys didn’t mention the War on Taylor Swift, tho. What’s the over/under on Trump coming out and trashing her? I saw, of all people because I’m sure she really values his opinion, Sean Hannity out there offering her the advice not to endorse President Biden. 🤣

“Maybe she just bought into all the lies about conservatives and Republicans, that they are racist and sexist and homophobic and xenophobic and transphobic and Islamophobic. And Republicans and conservatives want dirty air and water, and a total ban on all abortion with no exceptions,” Mr Hannity said.

That all sounds spot on to me. Or maybe I should believe the guy who was crying to Mark Meadows on January 6 that Trump had to do something about his army of insurrectionists.

I can hear it now, "The untalented Taylor Swift...." Sean Hannity should stay in his lane, and that lane is not offering any "advice" to anyone. What a dork.

I love how the right-wing is making it sound like Taylor Swift is some kind of deep state operative because she supports President Biden. Personally, I can't WAIT for her to endorse him, and at the same time talking to her fans about how important it is to VOTE (for President Biden).

Trump loyalist Laura Loomer called it the "Taylor Swift election interference psyop,"

but that's totally counter-productive with normal, sane, moderate, independent female voters.

The Right's new message: follow us down the conspiracy rabbit hole. Sounds like they're scared and getting desperate.

I have every intention of upgrading to paid when I can. However, just at the present time, my husband is dying in a nursing home and, despite the help of Medicare, it’s takes about a third of our income to pay for his care. When I can, I will upgrade.

Very sorry for what you’re going through.

So sorry to hear your news Norma. Wishing you and your husband a peaceful and relatively pain-free passing😔

I don't have the words to express properly my support, but will attempt to do anyway, no matter how incoherently.

Ushering loved ones through end of life care is complicated enough without the financial strain. I hope you are also looking after yourself (as it sounds you are) and have loved ones and friends nearby, as well as an extended community support network.

It’s always great to hear from Simon, his optimism is refreshing at a time when I hear Trump is beating Biden in every swing state.

... which is very frightening ... and, for obvious reasons, absolutely crazy.
