Thank you, Rick, for all you have done for our country and will continue to do. Thank you for your insight and leadership.

Hell is coming, and any student of history with a good eye can see it coming. Hell has already arrived for those in the camps.

We must each prepare as we think best.

Trump is a destroyer not a builder

I am waiting for him to claim the Iranians will be paying for the ballroom.

The art within The Kennedy Center was looted. Sold off. And let us consider the soviet fist of faux gold atop the bizarre arch conceived to block Arlington National Cemetery. The Lincoln bedroom WC . gutted and now rather than its historical honour is like every other 3star midrange motel. .

The destruction of Washington DC sickens me. But, the destruction of our government is so much worse. We can tear down the “monuments” but will we be able to repair the destroyyed agencies and programs that we thought were forever?

The damn foolish, cult zombies that call themselves the GOP majority, the goddamn utter fools that voted for him in '24 (many of them now bemoaning their financial, health, and employnent situations), and his damn incompetent administration allowing this destruction. We didnt need foreign terrorists to destroy DC, we have the domestic terrorists who call themselves the Government accomplishing all of this.

Rick, while you were toiling away at yet another master stroke of literary sarcasm Cheeto abruptly canceled the signing of a bipartisan bill for more affordable housing unless the SAVE Act was passed. He doesn't give a shit about anyone or anything but himself. The destruction of our nation's capitol is unbearable and unconscionable. Continue to hang this albatross around the GOP's neck. They deserve it.

When is the shag carpeting going in the Oval Office?

Soon. The avocado green appliances will be back. I remember seeing pix of his penthouse in Trump Tower and how absolutely gaudy it was before he was in politics. No change now. He was Incest Hollow Versailles back then. He is the person he always was.

Having grown up in New York, I would say most probably worse.

My utter contempt and disgust for 77 million Americans who are too stupid, too racist, too perverse, too tribal, too cruel, too evil to ignore the obvious fact of this man’s perversion, corruption, cruelty and evil. I know quite a few of these 77 million. I can never feel the same about them or this country EVER again.

At least Hitler had Speer; Trump only has his cocaine-ravaged memories of bad porn movies.

The reality is indeed right in front of us. Thanks, Rick. Well said.

What's broken can be fixed, what's demolished can be rebuilt, and we will. It's fascinating that Trump has made his environment match the space between his ears. I'mma look at the upside of the destruction and say it's a good, necessary thing for Trump's contagious rot to be made tangible, big, and unavoidable. The whole scene is deteriorating on every level. The cult is forever, but voters with functioning brains can see it.

So, where are the so-called conservatives these days? You know, the ones that care about protecting what we hold dear. The ones who talk about tradition. The ones that once bought into the "Shining City on a Hill" imagery.

Hello? Anyone?

The truth is no such person exists in the modern Republican Party today. Donald Trump has taken a shit on the Shining City on a Hill, and the party is complicit. Not to mention the 77 million people who made this possible in November 2024.

Reportedly dead ducklings have been observed on and near the reflecting pool as well. Killed by the hydrogen peroxide poured into the pool, perhaps?
