Wall Street Cowards
So much for shareholder value...
How many times have we seen variations on this pathetic, minor-key theme?
“Republicans privately complain Donald Trump is erratic and dangerous.” “Speaking on a condition of anonymity, GOP leaders cautioned Trump’s statements were ‘somewhat counterproductive’ to their messaging.” “Behind closed doors, Republicans bewailed their grim destiny as Trump demanded they sacrifice one of their children to the demigod Xolargu during every full moon.”
In the dumb Washington game the national media still lets play out every day, the behind-the-curtain lamentations of Trump’s excesses, cruelty, stupidity, policy trainwrecks, lavish corruption, and personal horror at his caprice and impulsivity are given a pass when the same members of the House or Senate roll up to the nearest camera to tell America Trump is the strongest, smartest, bravest man to ever sit in the Oval Office.
Now, it’s Wall Street’s turn.
