Micigan’s ballots will be mailed to all registered Michigan voters who have requested that we be placed on the permeant absentee voter list on Thursday (Sept 24, 2026). If you are a Michigan resident and are a US citizen you can go to your local Clerk’s Office, register and immediately vote starting Thursday as well. If you want to vote in person there are polling places that will be open on specific dates at published locations (check your city, village, township, or county clerk’s website for specific days, hours and locations). Please take time to research the people running on the “non-partisan” ballot and the “Issues” before you vote. Remember every Republican Member of Congress from Michigan voted for “The Big Beautiful [UGLY] Bill that took away health insurance (or raised your premiums), cut food assistance to children and their mothers as well as the disabled who are unable to work while giving huge tax breaks to the to the top 1% of the morbidly wealthy.
For Democrats, their message is a Hobson's Choice: NOTHING good can happen until Trump is neutralized and removed. Yes, talk about affordability, AI, data centers and so on. But getting out Trump & R myrmidons is the first essential step in the critical path.
Ironically, the communists ARE finally on the ballot this year, (along with a few Islamists) and if you think they’re going to do a better job for Americans, you’re smoking something other than tobacco.
Look across the pond to the UK or EU to see how well their policies are working there — and how toxic and dangerous their broken-brained antisemitism has become.
If I were a Michigan voter, I would take Mike Rogers in a heartbeat over the jihadi alternative. If I were a NYC voter, I would’ve taken pretty much anyone over Darializa Avila Chevalier. (FTR, she won the white liberal elites by a longshot and completely failed in the non-white working class parts of her district; they get it!) I wouldn’t have voted for Al Qaeda booster Adam Hamawy in NJ either. Those two are running in pure blue districts and will be in Congress next year.
So, to sum up:
- Not MAGA
- Not a progressive
- Not a Communist
- Just a normal, middle class, centrist Independent voter truly missing sanity in our politics.

Yes, early voting has started, and based on the VA stats--it's 3X+ what was seen in 2022 (yes, I was there first day, 5th person in line). That makes me hopeful. Watching the attack ads on Talarico and El Sayed also give me hope: they're culture war and not kitchen table wars. People pay attention to kitchen table when the situation impacts them. I hope everyone goes out to vote and drag your friends, family, acquaintances, book club, bridge club, water aerobics class and quilting guild with you. We need everyone to vote and rid of us this pestilence that has destroyed our economy and our peace.
Anthony Scaramucci, on his recent podcast, was bashing Dems for talking about how bad Trump’s economy is on the campaign trail without providing specifics on how they will actually fix things. Unbelievable double standards.
It shouldn’t take a doctorate in psychology (which I actually have, but still…) to know that Trump is who he has always been: a stupid, shallow, cruel, spectacularly incompetent con man who was only able to create any life at all because his daddy bestowed millions on him every time he screwed up. I’d love to ask why so many people weren’t paying attention, but rhetorical questions serve no purpose at this point. I do hope that those who have always paid attention will have the courage to be strong leaders, and those who weren’t paying attention until their cost of living became unmanageable will participate with us in the project of putting our nation back together.
