The “players of the GOP” that participated in the Jan 6 Insurrection must be expelled from their office and prosecuted. Then legislation will happen.

I have been thinking a great deal lately about people who’ve served in roles of public trust in American government that aren’t with us anymore. How I wish we could hear from them again because we need to be reminded of what public service used to look like in other times.

I thought about WW2 pilot George H. W. Bush, who, like John McCain, was shot down. On more than one occasion, he was fired on. He once flew several miles with his plane on fire so that he could complete his mission before he bailed out. Several people in his plane died that day. It was a miracle that he survived and was able to float long enough with another man in a rubber boat to be rescued.

I thought about Senators Bob Dole, Daniel Inouye, and (later President) John F. Kennedy. All three literally “embodied” the courage and the sacrifice so many made because they all bore the war’s suffering in their bodies for the rest of their lives.

I wonder what they might have to say to the MAGA House members who are so eager to hand Ukraine over to Trump and to Vladimir Putin, and so callous, knowing that it will mean death to so many brave Ukrainians who are fighting like so many of our ancestors did for either liberty or death.

It breaks my heart every day.

I don't think it was a good day.

We barely averted an unwarranted impeachment of a Cabinet Secretary.

Congress is completely deadlocked by worship of a conman. We can't secure our borders or provide aid to allies.

A federal circuit court, a year from an election, had to spend a month writing an opinion that stated a president doesn't have impunity for committing crimes.

We now are forced to wait to see whether SCOTUS will further delay the 1/6 case past the election and watch as they dismiss legal scholars and historians to enable Trump to remain on the ballot.

How is all of this not an utter tragedy?

They can’t say they are the party of the rule of law and support Guardian Angela freely attacking people they think are “illegals” live on television.

THIS is why they don't want to allow Proxy Voting. So that someone has to leave the Hospital to make a vote!!

It would be a shame if something happened to him when he goes to the House to vote for something so stupid.

FLASH: This mini-report is #Rage-resistant! #USA-Gov to FORECLOSE on `Marjorie Post’s` “Winter White House” according to “Swiftie Magazine” including the Seventeen (17) acres and beachfront property that #Trump-stole back in ‘85. All proceeds to benefit the San Francisco 49r’s “psychological recovery fund” or #PRF for recovering fans and #MAGA’s alike! Jackpot! #Chiefs (+ 2) and "Under (47 1/2)!" Just another notch in our totem! By the way, #Kelce'll get "fined". Datz like punch'n a ref! U don't touch da coach during combat! 🦅
