A month or so ago I heard Scott Galloway say that his son asked a question about his city's infrastructure and Scott told him to use an AI app to find out more. Scott said his son demurred, saying he doesn't want to get used to letting AI perform straightforward tasks his human brain can do.

Scott thought hard on that ...

And this is also precisely why I would never remotely consider using Ground News.

Let us hope that works in Alabama as well as Tuberville has come out strongly in favor of Data Centers. Not sure Alabamians are that smart though .... Football over everything?

I wonder if they tried to build them near The Villages?

The enemy is attempting to build as many data centers as possible before citizens can. stop them. The enemy is employing a new strategy whereby they 'pay off /bribe County counsels & have them sign Non Disclosure Agreements....and we are none the wiser till the building starts and neighbors scream 'what the f*ck is that'??? Then it's too late cause Marge/Fred had no idea what was planned.

Some businesses are using AI and its data centers to make routine appointments, ie HVAC companies.

Would like your take on Pennsylvania and Shapiro opening the door to data centers.

I want to believe Donalds will lose. I really do. But Florida seems to always disappoint. Fingers crossed for Jolly, but no bets placed.

It's a shame that -absent his having too high melanin levels- Donald's is the perfect GOP candidate. Corrupt, servile to corporate interests, supplicant to a master whose chain he wore eagerly, and a complete asshole. Hopefully, he will be one of many GOP (and corporate Dems) that see the door in the near future.

I grew up in Florida (and I'm 70). I am an alum of the Univ of Florida. My father grew up in Florida. My grandfather moved to Miami in 1925, when Dad was 4. Dad used to hunt gators in the area of the neighborhood I grew up in (he hunted them in the 1930s, we lived there starting in the 1960s). I was an Eagle Scout who, with my Scout troop, canoed throughout the Everglades. While nature in Florida will never be as clean as it was when I grew up there in the 60s and 70s, we must make every effort to preserve it for generations to come. Sucking the water out of the aquifers to power AI (and yes, I'm a retired prof of IT and majored in CS at UF, so I'm no tech Luddite) data centers will ruin Florida's water and nature for decades. Donalds is just a tool of the Tech Bros. Those back home (I've lived in GA since I left the Army in 1981) must do everything they can to elect Jolly and Vindman.

Data centers MUST be stopped at all costs!

thanks Rick: What in hell are data centers needed for , could not four or five data centers do the trick. What kind of data. I assume they take a lot of water and electricity to operate. Yes they are very noisy . Elon Musk has proposed building artificial intelligence data centers in space. When a data center is built near you, it primarily transforms the local infrastructure rather than creating traditional jobs. While it can generate tax revenue, you may experience significant drawbacks like higher consumer electricity bills, disruptive noise pollution from cooling systems and backup generators, and immense strain on local water supplies. I've answered my question. Vote for David Jolly. Keep Florida pristine . Save y;our democracy, constitution and rule of law.

Does Elon smoke crack or snort cocaine??? I'm just asking quesions...

"Wakulla County, deep red, the kind of Panhandle county Republicans win 70-30, banned them outright." When "We'll Kill Ya" County says "No" it would be good to listen LOL.
