Wondering what wine John Boehner is drinking right now, likely a fine vintage served cold.

Rick’s commentary is spot on. We are for some serious dark days as a nation. The question is how long will the political media go along with the GOP farce? How long will they blame the Dems and/or Biden for the mess the GOP is?

TOM NICHOLS RECENTLY DESCRIBED JORDAN AS A 'FRANKENSTEIN THAT SHOULD NEVER HAVE GOTTEN OFF THE TABLE.'

NOTE: RICK, THE AUDIO ON THIS COMMENTARY WAS ONE CHANNEL ONLY AND WAY DOWN IN VOLUME...PERHAPS THE PREAMP/AMP GAIN NEEDS TO BE TURNED UP? THX

And they won't admit it, but this MAGA bullshit probably kills off Youngkin's dream of GOP glory in Virginia this year. And after a year of Jordan led dysfunction, it may not only mean a Dem House majority, but a loss of Moscow Mitch's expected Senate majority. Voters have short memories, but the MAGA stain digs deep.

Agreed...I have zero faith in the ability or willingness of the "media-labeled" moderates to show a hint of courage.

They're fluent in the language of rationalization.

I believe that a Jordan Speakership will cause irreparable harm.

There's been little press, but Democratic voters were a no-show in the Louisiana gubernatorial race. I will never understand voters who won't even try...

Horrific. But it’s all wide out in the open now. That’s the sliver of a silver lining.

Good points. Jordan has never successfully participated in the process of bringing legislation thru the House of Representatives that can be agreed to by the Senate and signed by the President. He failed at that back when Trump was President and both the House and Senate was controlled by Republicans. His group always wanted something more, and he always held out, until either the government shutdown, or the Speaker or Senate leader acted like an adult and ushered legislation forward that could actually be signed into law.

As a staunch supporter of Ukraine's fight for freedom, the prospect of a Jordan speakership terrifies me. What options does the Administration have to insure that vital military aid to Ukraine continues?

To get votes of some committee chairs who were against him before they were for him, and who are Ukraine supporters and not isolationist, JJ almost certainly had to promise things like aid to both Ukraine and Israel. How he will handle the crazies when they find out is the question.

I’m in Stefanik’s district and it’s a lost cause. My financial support is going to the candidates who look best against the 6 Republicans in Biden districts in NY.
