Hopefully this is the end of the beginning. My hope is that Trump will screw over the maga voters so bad they will just crawl back under the rocks they came from. I don't expect many will ever admit their error, best we can hope for is that they just disengage. Gotta remember, 3 years into the depression with no end or hope in sight, Hoover got almost 40% of the popular vote.
I am so glad that you called out the platforms and their enablers on FB, Fox News and Twitter because they all have blood on their hands whether they are held accountable for it in this life or the next. The podcast that Maya Wiley did today with Tim, a Christian Evangelical follower who has become a force for changing the narrative of the “Christian Nationalists” was revealing although they covered the recurring theme of religious conservatism aligned with oppression. I am praying for the victims and their families in MN targeted and stalked by this killer. And am relieved that he is in custody
The billion dollars assessed against Fox clearly was nowhere near high enough to teach them to stop spreading lies that cause their unbalanced viewers to commit murder. Next judgment should be about $5 billion, just to provide them some discouragement against further murderous lies.

Now that Orangey has declared there will be no ICE raids at farms, restaurants, and hotels (in red states anyway) – won’t that encourage those ‘illegals’ to move to the newly declared sanctuary jobs in the red states? Love to see Stephen Miller's head burst with that.
Alternate theory (following mobster behavior): arrangements will be made with those who pay for protection. It would follow previous behavior patterns (which are the best predictors of future behaviors, often and frequently).

I continue to find it amazing that every word uttered is repeated as ‘truth’, no analysis, no context, etc. The fact that it’s only relatively recently that certain outlets have been willing to call what he says “lies” is mind boggling.
And the we get “but he SAID…. blah, blah, blah” - yes, he says and has said a lot of things - most of them aren’t true.
But then - oh, because he’s POTUS - the roller coaster is boarded, the ride restarts and things get repeated over and over and over again.

I’m so old I remember when most people shared one reality. In the before times, reality was cheaper (so were eggs) — before billionaires bought and paid for it. “Ten Years of Evil (And Redemption)” is an amazing essay. Redemption stories are kind of a BFD. I hope this is the beginning of the end of the evil regime. Or the end of the beginning. Oh, hell I don’t know where we are in this story, I’m crawling into a wardrobe for the rest of the day. I’m sorta, kinda supposed to be watching my ten-year old granddaughter, but she’s very self-sufficient. She’s doing art. We’ve already had a discussion about how big fox kits are. She insists they’re the size of Labrador pups and I told her the interweb says they weigh about 4 ounces when born… Tallyho! 🦊
