It's amazing how many stooopids have jumped on this "medicine" wagon. Too many of us for too long have questioned all medial advice...but still found it STILL the ONLY logical way to SAVE OUR CHILDREN... as well as ourselves. I do BELIEVE this regime totally is trying to send us back to the DARK AGES...there's NO logic that their ideas support that will SAVE the American People. It's all about destruction...and THEY KNOW IT.

You know it's so funny, as both a lifetime peacenik and anti-anti Communist and an environmentalist who casts a squinty eye at Big Pharma, you'd think maybe there'd be a _tiny little_ shred of daylight between you and I on these issues, Rick, the way there is scads of daylight between our views of gun rights and the size of the state.

But noooo ;). We see perfectly eye-to-eye on both Russia / Ukraine and the degeneracy of RFKjr.

Hey, Saddam was a horrible dictator, too, but his people didn't call for a US invasion. Russia going into Ukraine is imperialism straight-no-chaser.

RFKjr's story is tragic. In midlife, after quitting heroin he began pulling his life together and worked for many years as a well-respected environmental lawyer for the Hudson Valley River Keepers. And then he fell down the antivax rabbit hole. He exhibits that _special_ flavor of Dunning-Kruger effect reserved for nepo baby failsons who nobody ever said NO to. Guy's not a tenth as smart as he thinks he is.

Fuck these crunchy-to-wingnut horseshoe victims. May he die of a raging parasitic infection from taking too many baths in sewage water to "strengthen" his immune system, LOL

It's time to bring back an old but very effective chant, slightly modified: HEY,HEY RFK, HOW MANY KIDS DID YOU KILL TODAY? Let's hit him with it everywhere he goes.

Do you think that it is possible that RFK's agenda is to reduce the US population? It is difficult to believe that his ignorance can be "natural". I have NEVER thought this way before but his budget cuts add up to widespread ill health and death.

Logical and a terrible way to go about it..OUR KIDS!!! What about the CHILDREN!!!!

Yes, Catherine, I do believe that RFK's agenda is population reduction. It's no coincidence that ending/restricting virus and vaccine research will lead to the death of the most vulnerable: children, elderly, immune-compromised, etc. In other words the "useless eaters" that Kissinger was so (not) fond of.

I checked on YouTube and the pod will be available at 6pm EDT. I click on the tab to listen and the pod is paywalled for Lincoln Square subscribers. I don't subscribe to Lincoln Square and I won't subscribe to it. I am a poor on SS in a HUD-subsidized building. You alone are all I subscribe to. If this is some marketing ploy to get more LS subscribers, I find it highly offensive.

I'll wait until it opens up on YouTube and come back to the comments.

I JUST subscribed...but like you, we are feeling the crunch...on SS too and balancing these ways to jump into the discussions..I think they are a way to blow off steam...I do NOT know if these substacks further our fight or not...My feeling is it's just GOOD to know there are many like us who are on the same page.. Thanks Bob...

My six bucks a month for this substack is money very well spent, but it isn't even about the money. Like others have said, why should I sign up for Lincoln Square when Rick makes nearly all of his LS content available here? For me, it's more about notifications and subscriptions, paid or otherwise. I do not want them. Period.

I get nearly all my news from YouTube and the algorithm recommendations work fine for me. I get the YouTube business model, that engagement metrics are life itself and every YouTube channel begs begs BEGS you to hit that that subscribe button. I don't. If I hit subscribe on every YouTube channel I watched and enjoyed, my laptop would be playing Carol of the Bells nonstop all day long. If I want something from a channel I can search for it myself, TYVM.

I don't fucking care about the YouTube business model; that's not my lookout as a content consumer. Do content creators really not understand that mental bandwidth is a finite resource for every person?

Thank you... it works for me too.. So much to digest...but knowing what to pay attention to...when you want to step in and accomplish what you want to do..I dash for youtube when I tire of these substacks...even if it's only Sir david Attenborough and his marvelous nature series to LIGHTEN my day...Happy day BOB!! I'm going to go water my forest....

Mmm I am a paid subscriber (quite gladly) and the link isn’t working for me. So perhaps it’s a different issue?

I got a screen saying it was for LS subscribers only; I don't know if that's just for subscribers or for paid subscribers.

I make it a policy to not to subscribe to anyone, paid or unpaid, aside from Rick, as I adore his comment community. But I don't want the notifications, email, marketing "opportunities" or any other crap either on YouTube or in my inbox.

I run Ad Block Plus for a reason ;)

It’s just odd because I do pay for those I want to support and I do pay for both Rick and Lincoln Square, so the link should technically work for me and it’s not.

I do understand that not having enough money to help support these groups and people fighting for our democracy is difficult, but I do not believe that denigrating anyone having a paywall for some content is actually fair. Just my opinion. Especially when these folks actually provide a lot for free and basically work their asses off doing what they do. Apologies if I’m offending you with my statements.

No, certainly not, Sabrina. I may not have made myself clear. I don't object to paywalls per se; that's the new economic model and it's fine. And it's not really about what I personally can or can't afford. What I object to is any type of teaser marketing. The Bulwark -- another group of content creators who I adore -- does this in spades and I loathe it with a purple passion.

I don't think this was Rick's intent, just an oversight, but I would have preferred not to have gotten a promotional email for something I choose not to have access to. I do not respond to promotions. Period. That said, I'll happily listen to this podcast in a minute because now it's up on YouTube. The two-hour delay is not a major hardship by any means.

The Bulwark, which also has mostly free content, does this all the time. A ten minute teaser podcast that interrupts itself in mid-spiel to tell you if you want to see the rest, you have to sign up as a paid subscriber. I hate that so much I never listen to that podcast. Or "free versions" of anything they offer, because it's all a tease to get you to pay to see the whole thing.

_That's_ what I find offensive. I will not watch anything which isn't self-contained as a matter of principle because I cannot abide teaser marketing.

I have the same issue: I did not know that Bulwark would stoop so low. I tried 3 times to sign onto LincolnSquare which, up front, says that I am a subscriber, but still could not access the current version. The site would send me a code on its suggestion to access; I would copy it and then the source to place the code refused to work, all the while sending it to me because I am already a subscriber. I am sure there is more to it than what I am seeing but I am on SS, already have more sites than I can afford, and do not understand this one. Any one want to comment? At 83, my patience string should be longer than it is, but there you are...

OUCH!!! I just did this and found the same problem!!! We are all in this same boat...and MONEY IS TIGHT!!! So which is the CORRECT WAY to go about this???

Expand full comment
Bob McKeown's avatar

Yeah, Phil, there may be some bugs rattling around in there because Sabrina says she's subscribed to LS and the link didn't work for her.

As I don't subscribe to LS, I don't know how their system works. I can log out (to read trolls who've blocked me, LOL) and log back in with a code Rick's substack emails me no problem.

This is the same pseudo science culture that is now selling home medical kits with horse wormer, jugs of vitamins & amoxicillin for those who don’t trust doctors or science. Look at the symptoms chart, oh look you have the sniffles and a scratchy throat, you better take the pointless antibiotics for your virus driven cold. Same amateur hour dumbshits who will later show up at ER with a staff infection now resistant to every major antibiotic. Glad they did their influencer research.
