In general, I don't listen to political speeches in their entirety. But this speech, I won't call it political, got me to do so.

Sen Ossoff hit so many points in 32 minutes. Without dropping to the level of the GOP and the President to direct personal attacks at others. He invoked the greatness that has made this country, and called for a relighting of the torches that brought others to these shores as a hope for humanity.

Yes, this was a great speech. Perhaps one of the greatest of this new century. I hope it finds huge audiences throughout our country, because it's not just a message for Georgians, but for all Americans.

Listening to this speech, I was reminded of Obama's speech at the 2004 Democratic Convention. Ossoff for President, 2028.

Contrast a politician with charisma, a high IQ and a truth-teller with the slimy, mendacious, avaricious diaper-changing sycophants in diaper boy's regime. Ossoff is the type of person that should be running the federal gov't and prosecuting each and every one of the criminals we currently tolerate

Thank you, Rick, for this post. My, God, he is really great. Makes you want to stand and cheer and vote and fight.

Pitch perfect. And surely a nickname-earning speech. (Wonder if Trump will now label him with the obvious preadolescent schoolyard taunt. What do you think?)

I agree with your statement you made a few weeks back that being Jewish hurts the prospect of a potential presidential candidate because of unfortunate antisemitism, the kind pre Gaza. I tend to agree. It holds for Shapiro and Pritzker in my opinion. I wonder if it makes any difference in Osoff’s case that his mother is an Australian Protestant(who likely converted to Judaism)?

I have donated to his campaign a couple of times in the past 6mo, bc I could see what a genuine person he really is. And, I don't even live in Georgia. But, that speech just elevated him even higher.

I think I might just have to give him a little more something for his campaign, bc god knows we need to keep people like that in office. Thanks for sharing Rick. 💙

That opening framing is just incredible - showing him from below. Hats off to the videographers!!! And I haven't even started listening to the speech properly yet.

I remember watching Obama deliver the Keynote Address at the 2004 DNC and thinking, someday this man will be President. I feel the same way listening to Ossoff. I’ve been an admirer since he first appeared on the political scene. I think he and Reverend Raphael Warnock are two of Georgia’s finest.

And I love you retaining your gaffe. The perfect iIS the enemy of the good. In just over half an hour, Ossoff breathes life back into American oratory. No weaving, no deceiving. Confident in the ideas and our ability to realize the aspirations of this once-shining Nation. He can turn the light back on. Thanks for this, Rick.

I just listened to Jon Ossoff’s speech. It’s a Presidential speech. Perhaps one day he’ll run for President. In the meantime, I wish I lived in Georgia. What an exciting time for them. What an exciting time for us.
